Last year, my friend flew a domestic flight, a Muslim (man of Pakistani origin) STA "agent" was stubborn about re-checking against and again the Bible which was in the carrying case.
I see a [possible] growing "revenge" tactic by many Muslim employees of the STA, the objective is twofold: 1) to prove that it's not a (radical) Muslim problem. 2) To make non-Muslims feel for suspected-Muslims go through. So, if you thought the STA is all about security, all the time, think again.
Well, maybe it's time that the STA does not rush so fast employ new-comers from Quranic countries?

there have been several incidents since the intensified frisking began - unruly passengers trying to open doors, crash the cabin, fight with attendents. Did the intensified frisking prevent ANY of these incidents?

Maybe we need to have someone come up with a new line of luggage made specifically out of pig skin and advertising the fact that it is made of pigskin.
