Up until exactly 10:30 AM this morning, I personally felt pretty comfortable not seeing the photos of Osama bin Laden. I have a great trust in our Navy Seals and the Pentagon. It would take too large of a government conspiracy to lie about such a monumental claim. Further, if the Pakistanis, who are terrifically embarrassed by this incident, clearly believe Osama bin Laden was killed- than I believe it. Even the terrorist websites, who have every reason to want the legend of bin Laden alive, believe it.
Only conspiracy theorists could possibly believe that the U.S. government is lying about this. And all the photos in the world will not convince them.
That being said, I was bothered yesterday when I heard that the Obama Administration (Clinton, Gates) were advocating that we should keep the photos secret due to fear of inflaming Islamic terrorists. This borders on blaming the U.S.A. for the attacks on 9/11. In other words, Islamic terrorists do what they do because of something we did first. This is blatantly false. Not only did Islamic terrorists strike the USA first, but they struck second, third and fourth times as well. They bombed the World Trade Center in 1993, our Kenyan & Tanzanian Embassies in 1998 and the USS Cole in 2000. It was only after they struck us on our home soil on 9/11 that our gentle country finally chose the path of war. The United States has always been, and still is, slow to anger and war. Those four attacks by Al Qaida were not in response to a single act of violence perpetrated by the United States. They were the result of a growing theology amongst the Muslim world that the American culture is satanic and evil by nature. It is our very essence that they feel must be eradicated. The Muslim culture is, for the most part, tribal in nature. They do not discuss issues with the People before decisions are made. No voting. No voicing of opinions. The tribal leader dictates and everyone jumps to his command. Leadership is inherited, not voted on. Women are systematically repressed- in the name of their religious beliefs. Islamic extremists cannot bear that their young women might see western women’s complete freedom and happiness. They are terrified that their young sons will see the western world’s conviction that every man is created equal under God. This might lead to questions about inherited tribal leadership! They can’t stand for their people to see our financial success. For that reason, they also label technology as inherently evil. Technology brings images of our way of life to their youngsters. History, current news events, and technology are intentionally omitted from children’s education and instead, focus on religious studies that inculcate the youth with a belief that ‘freedom’ is satanic.
The privileges of wealthy tribal leaders, mullahs, and their henchmen are in danger by our way of life. It is the oldest trick in the book: use religion to achieve political ends.
Nothing America did prompted their four major attacks against us. They simply hate us and our freedoms.
So, President Obama ‘will not’ release the photos. Because this might ‘inflame’ the gentle spirits of Islamic terrorists. The same ones who videotaped the beheading of Daniel Pearl and other terrified Americans. The same ones who cheered insanely as innocent Americans disintegrated as their flaming bodies stuck the concrete of N.Y. city.
The only message being sent is that we are afraid of them and what they will do. That is simply ridiculous. We are at war with them. Let them get the message that the same ugly death will come to them should they so proudly and systematically murder our citizens as bin Laden did. Bin Laden was ready to run (as evidenced by the money and phone numbers sewn into his robes). He was not ready to martyr himself as he has so blithely required of other, lesser men. Let his martyrs-to-be see him in this sorry state. They are already inflamed. The photos might actually make them afraid or disheartened. That is to our benefit.
No, we are a Nation that has been screwed by our elected representatives and sold down the river of the NWO. We are headed to equal opportunity poverty and despair. And it sucks.
You’re close. Lefties have a vested interest in believing that we can influence the behaviors of others (outsiders): it gives them limited control over the rest of us.
If they can convince you that acting in way “x” (which they don’t like) can “force” someone else to act in way “y” (which is bad) then they can get you to give up acting in way “x” (which is what they wanted in the first place).
And, of course, lefties are cowards. They don’t mind sacrificing YOU to islamofascists if it will buy them a few more days of time before they get their own heads chopped off.
Well, let's see, we are nation that has to send girls in to fill battle ranks, we re nation that has to have girls protecting men from drug dealers, robbers, murderers and rapist, we are a nation where the top conservatives frighting for our freedoms in the political arena are women.

What in the world are you talking about? Sends girls to fill battle ranks? I think not. Over the years it has been the women who have insisted on being in the rolls you describe as far as the military and law enforcement...nobody has forced them because we are lacking.
Some true. Most is due to quotas, diversity, PC, gender this and that, etc. Combat effectiveness goes to hell with PC, MC, diversity positions and gender hires. Add promotions, too.

There are more than enough men who will do the job, they are prevented from it due to quota’s. When was the last time you were in a recruiting office??? White male? over a 1 yr. wait to get to Boot camp. My middle son is at the end of a 9 mo. wait to get to BCT.
