African Americans Flee Failed Liberal Northern Cities for the Conservative South

One of the most interesting results from the 2010 census, little discussed by the media, was the large scale movement of African Americans over the past 10 years from Democrat controlled cities in the northern United States including Chicago, Cleveland, Detroit, and New York to the more conservative south. In an historic reversal of the 20th century migration that brought millions north in search of economic opportunity, African American families are abandoning the failed liberal communities in which they have lived for decades.

Over the past 50 years predominantly black neighborhoods throughout the north have been treated by Democratic Party as socialist proving grounds. While under single party rule, traditional American virtues like self reliance, family, and education were abandoned in favor of liberal ideology that promoted victimhood and welfare. Not unexpectedly the socialist experiment worked about as well for the black community as it did for the Soviet Union. Instead of the utopian dream, the only thing many African Americans received in return for their loyalty to the Democratic Party was drug and violence filled streets and social devastation.

Democrat politicians’ commitment to minorities turned out to be nothing more than fleeting campaign talk as most turned a blind eye to widespread corruption and government mismanagement which plagued black communities...

Democrats care more about protecting bloated public employee pensions than they do about making sure kids in their district learn how to read. While public employees are demonstrating to save their Viagra benefits and $100,000 a year for life retirement packages, it was recently measured in Detroit, the once proud symbol of American industrial might before the Democratic Party ruined it all, that 47% of the population is functionally illiterate including former Detroit School Board President Otis Mathis.

When all the civil rights stuff started in the 60's, a wise man told me, "Civil Rights won't raise their standards, it will bring ours down.". He's gone now so he'll never know how absolutely right he was.

Like locusts, they leave destruction and ruin in their wake, and move on to greener fields...and repeat, ad infinitum.

Unfortunately such migrations to flee the dysfunctional areas bring the same problems the people are fleeing to the areas of refuge. Look at what has happened in Colorado as it absorbed the refugees from the liberal hellhole of California. Think of New Hampshire and South Florida. They run away from the crime and the high taxes and the bureaucratic meddling to the new less fettered environs then look about them and see how wonderful it could be if only there were a few more services...

And when the price of everything and anything grown or raised on all of that farm land that is currently underwater, and will most likely be unproductive for decades, goes through the roof, if it is available at any price, it will be Republican’s racist policies that are starving minorities in the Northern cities.

It is why I no longer go to Oak Court mall; it’s not worth worrying about the crime. I’m not a worry wart either. Memphis is just a mess and the schools merger................you really can’t make it up. We have friends who live there. I always feel sorry for people who grew up there; it must be awful to watch the full destruction of your beloved city.

Believe it or Not this was all Predicted by a Democrat ,Daniel Patrick Moynihan.The Destruction of the Black Community,you can Google it and read his paper that predicted it all.
The thing I dont understand about this article is ,If the diaster in the Black community was caused by the Welfare state and they are moving back to the Consevative south how come they still vote for the same people to the tune of 90 percent or more? Something does not add up,are you saying the Conservative south is more generous in their Welfare Programs?

Well, I was born there in 1944, and my father was a Main Street store manager, and a past president of the Lions.

While I bought farm property in 1972, 50 miles east, my parents stayed in “The Village” (Off Poplar).

I well remember Memphis being the cleanest, and quietest city in the USA, with the number one fire department
in the country, the best run utility district, and one of the top medical centers of the country.
One of my brothers is a UT Med graduate.

The last I heard was that the MLG&W Division has been split up and sold off to other companies outside of the state....
such a crime.

The initial waves of flight to the North occurred as much because they were subject to murder, lynching and general terror directed against Blacks by the terror arm of the Democrat party, the KKK. They initially voted almost entirely Republican. Then the Depression hit and Roosevelt won them over to the RAT party to which they have been happy slaves ever since.

You can take any significant happening, subject it to the same kind of analysis and it is IMPOSSIBLE to not come face to face with the evil of the media. It is almost complete dedication to the LIE, the true spawn of Satan.
