It is why I no longer go to Oak Court mall; it’s not worth worrying about the crime. I’m not a worry wart either. Memphis is just a mess and the schools merger................you really can’t make it up. We have friends who live there. I always feel sorry for people who grew up there; it must be awful to watch the full destruction of your beloved city.

Thank goodness for the Collierville outdoor mall!

Well, I was born there in 1944, and my father was a Main Street store manager, and a past president of the Lions.

While I bought farm property in 1972, 50 miles east, my parents stayed in “The Village” (Off Poplar).

I well remember Memphis being the cleanest, and quietest city in the USA, with the number one fire department
in the country, the best run utility district, and one of the top medical centers of the country.
One of my brothers is a UT Med graduate.

The last I heard was that the MLG&W Division has been split up and sold off to other companies outside of the state....
such a crime.

As both of my brothers say, it is all “Gone With the Wind”
