WHERE he was born is not the issue. Just being born in HA doesn't make him eligible. If it did then every anchor baby born would be eligible. Beyond the birthplace is the question of his parents and their status and their ability to pass citizenship to make him eligible.
The man he claims is his father was a British subject, thus making Barry ineligible.
His mother was a minor who was not back in the country long enough prior to his birth to meet the criteria either. Birthplace is only a very small part of the big picture and I fear that Obummer will produce something that says he was born in HA and the people who are starting to question his eligibility will accept it and move on.
IMO the question of his eligibility should be if he meets the Constitution's requirements, NOT where he was born.

Abercrombie’s account does place baby Barry with mother in Hawaii soon after the birth:

This could be a complete fabrication or could be true. I suspect mom and dad were in Kenya to get the paternal blessing as required by the tribal customs in those days.

Think of it. Barack Sr’s University of Hawaii tuition was being funded by his father who demanded a few things in return for that funding. One of those things is to require a in-person scrutiny of the woman his son is marrying. This would have been the second wife for Barack Sr. The blessing of the father would have been very important in this case.

Also, why didn’t Stanley Ann stay in Hawaii with Barack Sr to get her degree? Why does she go to the University of Washington? My answer to this is that Barack Sr’s father disapproved of the marriage. To separate his son from Stanley Ann, he arraigned to have Stanly Ann fly to Seattle, Washington from Kenya in time to enroll in class. Baby Barry was about two weeks old when they arrive in Seattle. It actually would have been cheaper for her to fly to Seattle because it was less air miles from Kenya over the polar route to Seattle. My theory is that Barak Sr’s father paid for the entire thing and Stanley Ann did not even know this was a plot to separate them. She thought that Barak Sr was to join her after he got his diploma. And she got to be in her favorite place in the whole world, the Socialist Republic of Seattle, to await the love of her life. As we know it did not happen(She divorces Barack Sr in January 20, 1964). When she returned to Hawaii, April 1963, she soon meets Lolo Seotero and marries him on March 15, 1965.

You are right. The whole issue is being over-simplified by Trump and others. They are setting themselves up for a fall by focusing on the actual place of The Kenyan King’s birth. It is the totality of eligibility that matters and it should be looked at as a whole.

The substance of interest is the dearth of knowledge about the man we elected to serve as our President. Generally there is a lack of common sense and too many unsupported assertions about the qualifications of Mr. Obama. How does Mr. Obama meet the "natural born" citizen Constitutional requirement when his father was NOT a citizen of the United States?

Such a dearth of knowledge about a sitting president is unprecedented!

There are lack of information and access to Mr. Obama's writings, his kindergarten records, Punahou school records, Occidental College records, Columbia University records, Columbia thesis, Harvard Law School records, Harvard Law Review articles, scholarly articles from the University of Chicago, passport, medical records, selective service registration records, social security number irregularities, files from his years as an Illinois state senator, his Illinois State Bar Association records, any baptism records and adoption records.

This information lockout continues in his "transparent" presidency, with organization after organization having to sue under the FOI Act to get basic information about meetings, attendees, motives of people elected and appointed by this president to govern us.

I agree it’s a stretch, but not implausible. Your link says it started in 1960 in Pensacola and that “Soon, the game caught on at Navy bases in Japan and in Europe and across America.” So it’s surely not impossible that it had showed up in Hawaii by the mid-1960’s. Obama didn’t move to Indonesia until 1967, when he was 6.

Put a different way: the T ball account is FAR more believable than the more recent claim that he saw infant Obama with mom and dad at social functions in 1961. That just doesn’t square with the timeline that has emerged.

Well, the Supreme Court may have the final word, but the notion that they are the only people on the planet allowed to form conclusions about what is Constitutional and what is not is part of what has gotten us to this point.

The Constitution is capable of being read and understood by anyone with a reasonable high school education. There are a number of good texts that do a reasonable job of explaining what some of the phrases and constructions were intended to mean by the Founders.

Congress and the President especially are charged with following the Constitution, and with protecting and defending it. How can they do that if they don’t know or care what it means? Or worse, when they conclude that they can do whatever the hell they want, and it is up to the Supreme Court to call them out if they get it wrong?

This guy is not Constitutionally qualified to be President - he is not a Natural Born Citizen, and I don’t need the Supreme Court to tell me so. A person would have to be poorly educated, completely apolitical and apathetic, or intentionally deaf dumb and blind not to know this as a fact.

It disgusts me to see all this attention placed on the “birth certificate” when the really relevant fact is in everyone’s face like a persistent salesman. His father was NOT a citizen. Hell, he wasn’t even a resident. He was just here on a student visa. It takes two citizen parents to make an NBC.

On the subject of student visas, has anyone ever found out Barry’s status at Occidental, and why at that time of his life he was using a 999 social - a kind of dummy number issued to foreign students studying in the USA?

I fully agree, but the fact remains that as far as the practical results of this issue are concerned, it will indeed be the Supreme Court that has the final word.

Not that they want to touch it. Even the most liberal justices are going to have a hard time deciding in favor of Obama. They will, of course, but it will strip away any illusion of judicial impartiality they every had.

And when can we expect other people who were at these "gatherings" to come forward to say that they too saw baby Obama at these gatherings, because it seems to me that it has only been Abercrombie who says that he saw Obama at these gatherings.

And it couldn't have been too many gatherings where baby Obama was seen, because, as I understand it, Obama'a mother left for Seattle, Washington to attend college soon after Obama was born in August 1961.

So when other people who saw baby Obama at these "gatherings" come forward to back up what Abercrombie has said, please let me know.

If little Obama played T-Ball in Hawaii, I wonder why Obama doesn't seem to have played Little League in Hawaii, a state where Little League baseball is very popular.

Is it because Obama, like other Little League players, had to provide a birth certificate, and Obama couldn't provide either a short form or long form birth certificate? Food for thought.

Doesn't matter where he was born. If Barry's father was a foreign national he is NOT a natural born Citizen.
