they made McCain show his birth certificate. Many of the states trying to correct this have backed away.

All of the TV Veiw clips being replayed exclude the part where Trump mentions fraud.

I have one answer for you: KOOL-AIDE!

I know Sarah's history. I have her books and enjoyed them very much. But PLEEEASE, GIVE ME A BREAK. You guys are as bad as the obama drones in your blind following without discernment. You know that kind that got Obama elected! IOW, you are entitled to your opinion & I, mine.

On this issue, Sarah has not taken a leadership role & to that you can not deny. Period. Do you even know if she really believes that it takes 2 citizen parents to be president? Trump obviously doesn't get it yet, but Palin should with all the research we have sent her.

The fact is, it is too early for me to make a decision & jump on board with a specific candidate, but I will support ones with promise of openness & adherence to the Constitution. Open discussion of it like Trump gave on Geraldo last night. He said the Constitution matters in this issue. Why hasn't Sarah?

Yes, our country is full of blind kool-aide drinkers on all sides of the isle.

Take your progressive "let's get rid of the electoral college elsewhere. The Congress does have the mechanism to vet presidential candidates

Article. [XX.] [Proposed 1932; Ratified 1933]

Section. 3. If, at the time fixed for the beginning of the term of the President, the President elect shall have died, the Vice President elect shall become President. If a President shall not have been chosen before the time fixed for the beginning of his term, or if the President elect shall have failed to qualify, then the Vice President elect shall act as President until a President shall have qualified; and the Congress may by law provided for the case wherein neither a President elect nor a Vice President elect shall have qualified, declaring who shall then act as President, or the manner in which one who is to act shall be selected, and such person shall act accordingly until a President or Vice President shall have qualified.

Anybody with a security clearance knows you can hide nothing

Huckabee didn't say he was vetted for security, that doesn't happen. He said they are vetted by the " 4th Estate" aka the lamestream media is NOT the CIA nor the FBI. The mere fact that the US citizens elected the person to be president is ALL the vetting that the CIA & FBI do. Period.

Huckabee was wrong! When someone runs for office, they are giving implied consent. For example, when a person drives on a public road, you are giving your implied consent that you are following the rules of the road and have a license to do so. When obama decided to run for the office of the President he gave his implied consent that he would follow the rules of the road( Constitution) and have a license( Natural born citizenship). Since he appears not to have a license(not natural Born)his Presidency needs to be suspended until he provides the necessary proof that he has a license (Natural Born citizenship). NATURAL BORN CITIZEN: both Parents U.S. citizens.

Most people assume that Barack Obama had been vetted before he was able to run for President. Guess what?

A congressional document posted on the Internet confirms no one – not Congress, not the states and not election officials – bothered to check Barack Obama’s eligibility to be president, and that status remains undocumented to this day.

http://www.wnd.com/index.php?fa=PAGE.view&pageId=225561

http://www.scribd.com/doc/41131059/CRS-Congressional-Internal-Memo-What-to-Tell-Your-Constituents-Regarding-Obama-Eligibility-Questions

I looked at the 2008 Missouri Elected Officials Qualifications.

http://www.sos.mo.gov/elections/2008primary/2008offices.asp

It lists the qualifications for U.S. Representative through Township or Ward Committeemen and Committeewomen. All other Missouri candidates were required to meet eligibility requirements but not presidential candidates. Why not?

Missouri must pass a law that would require that all candidates meet the eligibility requirements before being placed on the ballot. That means presenting an official certified birth certificate to the Secretary of State.
Since the Federal government failed to vet Obama, the states will have to do their job for them.

Big “IF” you put in there. He has been challenged. Several times. No court will touch the eligibility cases. The judges/justices seem to be satisfied that Brackets is qualified based only on the COLB his campaign posted online in ‘08.

Most disappointing (to me) was the SCOTUS refusal to interpret the Constitutional phrase ‘Natural Born citizen.’ The way they have left it, not only is Brackets eligible, but so is every anchor baby born in the USA.

WELL I THINK it’s SARAH’S policy to comment on the admin’s actions as they roll out....via her blog etc. If she’s gets on ANY of the media outlets and they ask her let’s let her make her case on the birth thing. I don’t think not commenting on this one issue will diminish her presidency. After her inaugration it probably won’t be even discussed. And she’ll be too busy straightening this country out to bother with it, anyway. Be postitive and help us accentuate her mighty plusses and don’t be so ornery about this birther thing. WE need SARAH and her leadership abilities. p.s. i don’t drink kool-aide but if i did i bet it would taste better with surgar in it than vinegar....ha ha ha.

THANK YOU.

Where did I indicate a desire to get rid of the Electoral College?

I merely pointed out that it has never functioned as originally intended. Do you disagree?

Your mechanism comes into effect only if the President elect has died at the time of his inauguration. There is no mechanism for determining whether a candidate meets the requirements for him to be on the ballot.

The EC is the mechanism intended by the Founders, but of course it is only a pale shadow of what they intended it to be.

I watched Geraldo's interview with Trump and Huckabee last night, Sat. March 26, 2011.

There were many things about the interviews that fascinated me and got me thinking more and more about this Obama birth certificate mess.

For instance, Gov. Huckabee told Geraldo that a presidential candidate has to fill out all kinds of detailed financial disclosure forms.

1. I started thinking out loud: Wait a minute, on the one hand, presidential candidates are required by law to disclose their most intimate financial resources---for a person like rich businessman Trump, filling out such a form would be very long and tedious, and maybe even embarrassing---while, on the other hand, when somebody brings up the subject that a presidential candidate should attach a copy of his long form birth certificate to his application form, a lot of people, like Whoopi Goldberg, go crazy and demand why a presidential candidate should have to present a long form birth certificate to prove that the candidate was born in the United States and is the right age to be president.

2. To me, having a presidential candidate disclose detail information about his financial resources would seem to be much more work and more emotionally draining than attaching a long form birth certificate to one's presidential application form for the world to see.

3. My point is this: Why, on the one hand, do people go crazy when a presidential candidate is asked to provide his long form birth certificate so the public can be reassured that he is who he says he is and that he was born in the United States, while, on the other hand, nobody seems to complain that a presidential candidate has to provide detail records about his financial resources, especially when many presidential candidates are millionaires and they may have made their riches through questionable means.

4. Again, what is so sacred about a person's long form birth certificate that it has suddenly become taboo to bring up the subject of a presidential candidate's long form birth certificate?

5. Many of us routinely provided our long form birth certificates when asked from out days in Little League as a child to the times that we applied for jobs as an adult.

6. So what is so sacred about a presidential candidate's birth certificate---as opposed to the birth certificates' that belong to the rest of us---that people like Whoopi Goldberg go crazy when the topic of presidential candidates' long form birth certificates are brought up, while, at the same time, these same people say nothing about requiring presidential candidates to disclose their most intimate financial resources?

7. Yes. Will someone please explain to me why the topic of presidential birth certificates is so sacred that many people consider it such a grievous sin to require a presidential candidate to attach a copy of his long form birth certificate to his application form so that the public can be reassured that the candidate is who he says he is and that he was born in the United States where and when he says he was?
