Over the weekend, public employee unions held a rally in Madison where the list of speakers included Bill Franks of the American Federation of Teachers. Franks had this to say about rank-and-file Republicans:
... the would-be Republicans, anybody making $30-40,000 who think they can afford to be a Republican is not living in any kind of reality. Real Republicans don't recognize them. Because the real "haves" are them. And these people who think they can afford these [conservative] principles, they can't afford them. That's not in their self interest. That's what we gotta cure as a pathology. This is a common claim from the Left, that middle class conservatives are "lackeys" or "wanna be" dupes beholden to super-rich overlords. As a black Tea Party activist, I get double-takes for being both a "have not" and a racial minority. Why are you voting against your interest? I am asked. Don't you know conservatives are holding you down?
In fact, I know the opposite. It has been the policies of the Left which have retarded opportunities for those with low-incomes.
Let's cite public employee unions as an example. How is it in my interest, as a non-union private sector taxpayer, to support policies which enable public employees to coerce political contributions which they then use to elect their own bosses and elicit unsustainable compensation at my expense? How does that secure my job? How does that feed my family? How does that secure my retirement? These are the question Franks and his cohort have to answer.
Instead, they retreat to the time-honored standby of the intellecutally outmaneuvered - namecalling...

It is the left who think blacks are “too stupid” to study and pass the test, on their own, without their “help”.

I find it absolutely disgusting treating anyone of ANY color as if they are "less".

Might make a good full-page ad, or even a billboard.
All you have to do Is Look at The Plight Of the Black Family and thats all the Evidence you need. I will take my 40k a Year over Welfare, Food Stamps and all the Democrat Crap. I could sell out ,after all the Welfare crowd Leave Me in the Dust when you count up all the Programs they have access to. Whatever I have, I worked for, nobody else paid for it I did.
You’ve stated it pretty much how I would have.
Public unions have made a HUGE mistake because they have shined light on the shady backroom deals where unions support Rats who support unions with OUT tax dollars. People are beginning to realize that for decades the only people NOT represented at the bargaining table are the people paying the outrageous salaries.
Most conservatives are happy and confident in themselves.
Most liberals are miserable, envious of conservatives and attempt to spread misery to everyone.
Why would anyone want to be miserable or a Liberal?
I recall Howard Dean speaking about an upcoming primary in South Carolina; something about the need to get them off the God,Gays, and Guns issues onto things in their self interest. (the economy)
Well said. I pray all the time that Americans of color will have an awakening to realize that the democRats have kept them in slavery for 40 or 50 years, and have destroyed their family-centered culture.
And that would certainly be true of someone who had self-respect and self esteem. But we are not talking about people who have self esteem and self-respect. We are talking about miseralble, self-loathing, sense of entitlement people for whom “standards” are simply whitey’s way of keeping them down. Many, many years of brainwashing by the poverty pimps have seen to that.
There are plenty of black people who escaped the “plantation”.
