Today, 12/22/2010, finally ended the orgy of political abuse by the Gang of Lame Ducks, led by Nazi Bela Lugosi (aka Nancy Pelosi) and Dirty Harry Squeaky Reid, known officially as the end of the 111th Congress. (My personal suggestion is to replace the 1′s with 6′s for a more appropriate appellation.)
After the shellacking that Obama and the Demonrats took on 11/04/2010, the filthy pack of third-world politicos used scorched earth politics to ram the remainder of their agenda down the throats of the dismayed but at this point not-altogether-surprised American public
The weeks from 11/04 to today have been like watching in slow motion Jody Fosters character in The Accused being gang-raped while being powerless to stop it. To add insult to injury, the alphabet soup news programs and the nations journalists cheered on the worthless degenerates, praising how much the Obama Administration and the Democrats were able to get done.
Had Congress and the Senate been controlled by Republicans and had they done the same, the equally worthless purveyors of propaganda known as the American mainstream media would have been outraged, demanding that the Republicans cease and desist from making decisions until the newly elected Congress-critters and Senators were properly installed.
However, as is evident from the facts, the Demonrats have the power of their cynical and often destructive convictions while their Republican accomplices checked their spines in at the Capitol cloak room.
If I remember right, the farm was given away after the last election also. They wanted Obama to take over immediately, clear mandate, etc. And Bush went along with it...
It would be nice if this was the last lame duck session ever - either close congress down after the election, or seat the new one the day after.
Completely Infuriating what this filth has done.
Thanks to this Congress, the American people can spend Christmas bent over.
I felt like reaching for a cigarette, and I don’t even smoke...
The next two years could be fruitful, if the GOP had the nerve to shut things down. I doubt it does, and so, it will be 2 years in which the Obama/Pelosi agenda as enacted remains in place, but their rampage of socialism is over. The Dems will be happy to accept gridlock, after 2 amazingly damaging years. The tea party needs to continue to press its issues, because the GOP will not.
Unfortunately, I don’t think the socialist rampage is over; Republicans apparently think their job is just to simply SLOW DOWN the socialists. They haven’t actually thought that they could stop it, let alone reverse it.
The House has a lot of power, they just don't know how to wield it, and don't know how to defend themselves from attack if they do wield it. So, I think it will be gridlock. I do not think it will be more progressive legislation, but if we had 240 Boehners, I would not be so sanguine. A big part of how much we can do depends on how fervent the movement is. If it dissipates, the old guard will jump back into deal making in a heartbeat. We have to stay on them, and push them to do more, in order to keep them from backsliding. In 2012, it will take strong leadership from a conservative to force the old guard into going along with a strategy of rollback. If the GOP becomes the party of slowing down communism rather than rolling it back, it's time to get out the figurative pitchforks.
Remember those R-rated duck cartoons? This lame duck has been doing to us some of what Howard the Duck was doing in those movies.
I’m shocked that you’re shocked! ;-]
