The Most Ridiculous Attack Yet (Support JOHN SHIMKUS for Committee Chairman!!)

In politics, seeing unfair & unfounded attacks against elected officials & candidates is all-to-common, and (despite myths to the contrary) has been so, since our nation began.

One paradigm shift that has definitely taken place, of late however, is the hostility towards religion - especially Christianity - in the public arena.

Still, I have been extremely-surprised, seeing the nature of the attacks, against U.S. Congressman John Shimkus (R-IL)....

The election, for Chairman of the powerful U.S. House Energy & Commerce Committee, is being held THIS TUESDAY (11/30).

I'm glad to see that "frontrunner" Fred Upton's candidacy has already been discussed, here at FreeRepublic. (From one of those posts, I just found Freedom Works' "Down with Upton" site.)

In addition to the fiscal & economic conservatives, pro-life groups are also opposing Fred Upton.

I saw a column on Politics Daily blasting him yesterday. It was nothing short of absurd & of course, every global warming turd piled on. I finally had to stop reading because it literally gave me a headache.
