Man’s urostomy bag damaged during TSA pat-down; forced to fly with urine on him

Man’s urostomy bag damaged during invasive TSA pat-down; forced to fly with urine all over him. A survivor of bladder cancer had his urostomy bag mishandled so badly during an inconsiderate TSA agent’s pat-down that it was unplugged, leaving him with urine trickling down his legs and his clothes soaked with urine. This incident of massive, government invasiveness occurred on November 7 as the man, retired teacher Thomas Sawyer, was making his way through Detroit Metropolitan Airport with his wife. All that Sawyer wanted to do—had a right to do as an American—was to make his way through the airport with some dignity intact as he looked forward to his trip to Orlando, Florida. However, a miserably untrained, arrogant and all-around inconsiderate TSA agent made sure he was humiliated instead.

The TSA agent probably didn’t bother to change gloves between pat-downs, either.

This is an issue the Repubs should jump on fast.

Pass a bill in the House that will do several things:

1. Institute frequent-flyer cards for people to be pre-screened one time and avoid these lines afterwards.

2. Institute medical-exemption cards for people with medical devices to be pre-screened at some location other than the gate, a single pre-screening (similar to frequent-flyer) that will allow multiple access to airports without going through the checkpoint each time.

3. Institute a moratorium on the use of scanners until the radiation is proven safe.

4. Institute a system of surveillance using cameras and undercover officers from an agency NOT AFFILIATED WITH THE TSA to weed out “bad apples” among TSA agents.

5. Any other appropriate provisions.

Pass this bill in the House, send it on to the Senate, and when the Senate demorat-traitor-mf’s block it, SCREAM BLOODY MURDER and don’t stop screaming until the demonrat-traitor-mf’s are fully and totally associated with the worst of TSA behavior.

I like it! Good ideas all. I had a knee replacement about 6 years ago and have had to undergo pat downs ever since. Meanwhile my poor wife is stuck collecting all the stuff off of the screening conveyor belt and has to wait for me. Just stupid. I have a card that says I have a prosthesis but they never ask to see it. I just set off the alarm in the metal detector, tell them I have a knee replacement and without fail I have to go stand in the area and wait for someone to come and “frisk” me. It is stupid and a waste of time IMHO. Now, when I fly out of Toronto all they do is “wand” my knee to make sure and send me on my way. Much better.

In medicine or food preparation, the gloves are worn to protect YOU. With the TSA, the gloves are worn for appeareances, and to protect THEM.

When we fly, it's my wife's knee. You'd think advance warning and a metal wand over the knee would be enough for a 115 pound middle-aged blonde woman, but nooooooo....

They don’t change them in between individuals. You are lucky if they change them after they go to the bathroom themselves.

Come to find out, this whole enhanced grope and nudie-pic scan can be avoided.

I recently discovered there is a patented technology that can detect (internal and external on a body) PETN and other explosives. The current nudie-pic machine can't.

It is called LVARS Standoff Detection Raman Spectrometer For Detection of Improvised Explosive Devices. This technology was developed by a company under contract with the DoD and when offered to DHS/TSA by this DOD organization about two years ago, DHS/TSA refused it.

If DHS/TSA used this technology then all we need do is use the usual metal detectors and have the person walk through a LVARS portal (non-invasive, no nudie-pics, no pat-downs, nothing).

Something is up if TSA is ignoring technology that will keep us safe from explosive devices but chooses to grope and take nudie-pics.

No he's not. Barry and Janet Schicklgruber are.

If you think that this grope and poke has anything to to with “being secure” you are deluding yourself.

It has nothing to do with security and everything to do with conditioning the sheep to be compliant and obey any order without questioning. No matter how humiliating.

Fixed it.

I hope he sues the TSA for a buttload of money and wins. Obama needs to be arrested and tried for crimes against the American people.
