Democrat nitwit, Loretta Sanchez is attacking her Vietnamese opponent on the basis of race. Republican Assemblyman, Van Tran is challenging Sanchez to her ill-gotten congressional seat.
Demonstrating the tolerance and inclusiveness we have come to expect from the left, Sanchez griped openly about the Vietnamese trying to take her job.
"‘The Vietnamese and the Republicans are intensely (trying) to take this seat,’ Sanchez said, ‘this seat (from which) we have done so much for our community, to take this seat and give it to this Van Tran, who is very anti-immigrant and very anti-Hispanic.'"
This nugget of ignorance by itself should be enough to finally be rid of the incompetent Sanchez. However, Sanchez overlooked the fact that Tran himself is an immigrant.
Seven terms is more than enough of this jerk.
She CHEATED to get that seat, and now she thinks she OWNS IT!!

Um...Loretta, I hate to break it to you, but Van Tran IS an immigrant, he was born in Saigon. You were born in Lynwood, which, despite the way it looks these days, is technically in the US. So who's the immigrant here?

When did this idea that certain seats belong to certain people take hold in the democratic party? According to the constitution the seats belong to the people.

I own a business in the district which Loretta presently represents. As a result I have first hand knowledge of her performance. Her low IQ aside, Loretta’s approach is to pretend to be a yellow dog democRAT with an open mind for conservative or pro-business proposals. When her vote finally comes, she is always on the side of the most liberal or socialist position. There are tons of closed businesses, empty buildings, foreclosures, bankruptcies, and unemployment in her district. Wouldn’t you think that Loretta would like to see some improvement in her “community?” Nope, not Loretta. As a local person on the ground here in this district, I believe it is possible for Tran to knock her out of Congress.
I don’t gripe about Asians, but I do gripe about Asian drivers.
I have a buddy that used to sell BMW’s and Mercedes’. You aught to hear him gripe about Asian customers. He qualifies and quantifies his complaints.
Of course, in both cases it is really not about race but, rather, about culture. It’s about the “first generation” Asians. Once they are “assimilated” - and a good test is that when you talk with one on the phone you cannot identify their “race” - this does not apply.

When I was growing up, I was an "Immigrant" and people who came to the U.S. illegally were "Illegal Aliens".
Today, people who come to the U.S. illegally are "Immigrants" thereby making me "Anti-Immigrant" for believing in the Rule of Law.

He actually articulated it pretty well. It is the cultural confusion and cultural “reason” for buying the car.
My wife used to be in real estate and they categorized customers as A through D. D stood for “delete”. Some customers are not worth the time and will nickel and dime you until the day they sell the car. They are not worth the money and headaches. My wife had customers like that, though it was not culturally related.
Also, even regarding referrals, A’s tend to refer A’s and D’s tend to refer D’s.
For my friend, Asians (culturally speaking) were D’s.

I do understand the point about nickel and diming. It often happened to me as well and was extremely irritating.
