They won’t work to elect O’Donnell and prove their own dire warnings of stunning defeat wrong. They would be working towards their own ouster from power and influence if they did. Instead they will do everything they can to prove themselves right, so those disobedient Republican voters don’t misbehave again. “Should have listened to us,” they’ll say. “Next time you’ll know better!”

But just imagine if O’Donnell does well!
The RINOs will be out of bullets, and out of power.
No longer will Republicans believe the old lie that only a RINO can win, and they will have no more use anymore.

Oh did you hear “O'Donnell once nearly lost her house to foreclosure” Did you hear, O'Donnell was fired by a Conservative think tank” Did you hear..

Personal attacks directed at her in place of any substantive debate on the issues. Lies, half truths and innuendo in place of any susbtanive reasons to vote for Mike Castle. That is the same standard tactics of the Leftist political machine. That sort of Ad Homine attack politics is gutter level tactics and should be defeated every time it is tried.

Stick to the issues, leave the personalities out of it.

If the TEA party thing doesn’t work, the next step won’t be political. I hope everyone realizes that.

If our reaction to this truth is "let's take back the GOP", then it's a good truth. If our reaction to this truth is "let's form a 3rd party", then we are all dead, all in chains, all slaves to Imamobama The Great.

In general I agree with that. I'm not sure if it feels that much better to be slaves of our GOP masters either though.

I was shocked to hear how hard the state Republican party was working to make sure O'Donnell lost, and I have my doubts that that will change now that she is the nominee.

It's also coming out on TV now how hard Karl Rove (and probably a lot more of the national Republican establishment) tried to keep O'Donnell from winning. Rove pleaded with O'Donnell to drop out and back Castle, and tried to get O'Donnell's Tea Party backing to stop supporting her.

I remember back in 2002 in Minnesota when Pawlenty was planning to run for the US Senate seat and Rove and his gang came in and told him he wasn't. That Norm Coleman was their chosen candidate and Pawlenty would have to stand aside.

Those Boss Tweeds at the leadership level of the Republican party are going to want to keep handpicking their RINO candidates like Castle, demand that all republicans and conservatives support them, and they'll do their best to punish anybody like O'Donnell that tries to buck the system.

The funny thing about this, isn’t this the EXACT same thing the Democrats have been doing with the minority voters for 40+ years?!?!? I mean, as conservatives, we KNEW this! I have said it, I have read it on Freeper; it is a KNOWN fact that the Dems keep the minorities down so that they can say, “You need to vote for us so that we can help you up,” all the while it is THEIR policies that keep them DOWN!

Why has it taken the conservatives SOOOO long to see the same tactic has been used on us in several areas - Only RINOs can win in the Northwest, California, etc... ????

So the best way for the Conservative movement to hammer home it’s message to the RINO machine is to open it’s wallets and get off it asses and make sure O’Donnell wins.

I don’t think they are anti-O’Donnell as much as they are pro Castle. The establishment fully supported her run when she ran for Congress I believe it was. Castle has been their boy for years though and they weren’t going to throw him under the bus. Now that the voters have lodged Castle firmly between the wheels of that bus though, I don’t understand why the GOP won’t support her completely and enthusiastically.

Point two. Anger at the GOP is kind of pointless right now. All energy and effort should be directed toward getting Conservatives elected.(fight the Dems not the Rinos right now) If we increase our numbers each cycle, we will be able to take the party over from within. Support the GOP candidates in the general elections to increase total numbers, but fight like hell for Conservatives in the primaries. In 4-6 years the elephant will be a synbol for Conservatism not Republicanism.

Do you think the Tea Party will eventually split off as a truly conservative party? I consider myself a conservative much more than a republican.

All of these RHINO’s have got to go. If anyone thinks John Boehner and Mitchie “The Kid” McConnell are going to lead an effort to restore the Constitutional Republic then somebody has been slipping Kool Aid in their coffee.

Just the fact that the RNSC is refusing to help Christine O’Donnell and would just stand back and let the Democrat win tells you everything you need to know about the GOP establishment.

My prediction is that we the people will put the GOP back in power one more time and if they do not step up to the plate and make some drastic changes in this country then we are going to be looking at a states revolution.

I posted “Northwest” but primarily meant Northeast, but Northwest is about the same! You all get my point.

Is there any way we can organize a national protest of the RINO led, blatant anti-Conservative actions of the Crat party of sellouts? What about identifying the main power brokers and their sycophants, then organizing mass protests like the town halls of the past? Threaten them with defections at the polls? We need to ACT or there`s no point to all the work we`ve done since we`re just replacing rats with crats.

Please call and/or Email the GOP of Delaware to request they support O’Donnell. Even if you favored Castle, O’Donnell is our canidate and is crucial for a Senate Majority.

“Is the GOP “machine” saying that Castle supporters will vote for Coons over O’Donnell? If so, the conservatives never had a chance anyway. The same prognosticators said, only a few weeks ago, that O’Donnell could not win. They were obviously wrong. Could they be wrong again? Of course they could. Will they be wrong? I wouldn’t bet against O’Donnell.”

The Repub party leadership doesn’t yet understand that there has been a sea change among the rank and file. They are usually the last to know that they are obsolete. The same for the RAT-MEDIA complex, who have no idea what is going on. Like the guy standing on the beach when the tidal wave is rolling in, they won’t get it until they are swept away.

I feel the same way, but I think the history of third parties in this country is pretty discouraging. Our best hope is to elect more Conservatives each cycle, increase our numbers, and wrest control of the GOP from the Rockefeller wing of the party.

"A smear job regarding what?"

Well, like "She claimed to be in a graduate program in California when she never even went to college." Which is bogus.

If we increase our numbers each cycle, we will be able to take the party over from within.

How effective can we be in that regard if the GOP party bosses are actively fighting against the conservative uprising?

This election has been an eye-opener for me. As hard as it's going to be to win the war against the progressives in the Democrat party, it will be a lot harder if we put up with the Republican party bosses shooting our side in the back during the battle. Maybe we need to stop supporting the RINO's in general elections first. The power of the party bosses is derived from their political clout and that will disappear quickest if their hand chosen RINOs routinely lose, if not in the primaries, then in the general elections.

I agree.

My only point is to emphasize that we must fight these "Boss Tweeds" (great description of them!) from WITHIN the party and not march out in a huff and create our own. It will be a much sweeter, much more relevant, much more practical and much more LIFE SAVING victory to take back the GOP than to abandon it and run to a hideout in the wilderness.
