IIRC, Alinsky recommended placing one’s hand on the shoulder of someone you want to control. It’s a small jesture, but it’s used to show that you are superior to the person you seek to control. Imam Obama does that move all the time.
My fav is Alinsky rule #5, ridicule the enemy.
