BREAKING: Multiple Ranches in Laredo Texas Taken Over By Los Zetas (HOAX)
TheCypressTimes.com ^ | 07/24/2010 | Digger

... The ranches are said to be "near Mines Rd. and Minerales Rd. about 10 miles NW of I-35".

Whether it is lone members or squads is not certain.

Anonymous sources in law enforcement in the Laredo area tonight have passed on word that US law enforcement agencies are in the area and are weighing their options regarding the ranches. The media has been silent on this incident and some law enforcement in the area says that they are furious that the media is not reporting the whole story of the continued violence along the border. Their frustrations are understandable because keeping the truth suppressed continues to hamper law enforcement from receiving the true support they need along the border.

The ranch assaults come on the heals of attacks in Nuevo Laredo that shut the city down as a gun-battle raged in the streets. Los Zetas blocked off intersections with vehicles and used fragmentation grenades to attack Mexican law enforcement. In the end 12 were killed and 21 injured in the assaults. Citizens in the area were told to stay in their homes and bullets whizzed all around. ...

“I know we the border is a lawless area, but some of this makes no sense from the drug gang point-of-view.”

You’re right, it doesn’t make sense from a drug gang point of view.

However, it does make sense from a reconquista point of view. It’s called a “probing action.”

NAFBPO seems to have their information correct.

11:18 am Today

In what could be deemed an act of war against the sovereign borders of the United States, Mexican drug cartels have seized control of at least two American ranches inside the U.S. territory near Laredo, Texas.

Two sources inside the Laredo Police Department confirmed the incident is unfolding and they would continue to coordinate with U.S. Border Patrol today. “We consider this an act of war,” said one police officer on the ground near the scene. There is a news blackout of this incident at this time and the sources inside Laredo PD spoke on the condition of anonymity.

Word broke late last night that Laredo police have requested help from the federal government regarding the incursion by the Los Zetas. It appears that the ranch owners have escaped without incident but their ranches remain in the hands of the blood thirsty cartels.

Laredo Border Patrol is conducting aerial surveillance over the ranches to determine the best way to regain control of the U.S. ranches, according to the Laredo Police department.

The approximate location of the U.S. ranches are10 miles northwest of I-35 off Mines Road and Minerales Annex Road. Just off 1472 (Mines road) near Santa Isabel Creek south of the city of Laredo, Texas.

The Los Zetas drug cartel is an offshoot of the elite Mexican military trained in special ops. The mercenary organization is said to include members of corrupt Mexican Federales, politicians as well as drug traffickers. The group was once part of the Gulf cartel, but has since splintered and now directly competes with the Gulf cartel for premium drug smuggling routes in the Texas region.[snip]

In the middle of the night on March 9, 1916, life in Columbus changed dramatically. At 1:00 A.M., between 500 and 600 Mexican revolutionaries, led by General Francisco “Pancho” Villa, crossed the border into the United States. Villa divided his troops and attacked Columbus from the southwest at approximately 4:20 am. This attack caught the entire town, as well as the army camp, by surprise...

http://web.nmsu.edu/~publhist/colhist.htm

Poncho Villa’s raid precipitated Pershing’s punitive expedition into Mexico which was the occasion for some heroics by young George S. Patton. The expedition itself however, despite the use of aircraft for reconnaissance, failed to bring Poncho Villa to justice.

Obama will only defend Blue States who supported him. Arizona, Texas, Louisiana, Alabama, and Mississippi can all go to h#ll, as far as he is concerned. They are Red states.

That’s become apparent, hasn’t it?

You’re right, it doesn’t make sense from a drug gang point of view.

We're conditioned to assume all border violence is drug related. The drug legalization crowd wants it that way to support their position and the enforcement side wants it that way to keep the money flowing in.

I use the term "drug cartel" pretty sparingly these days and prefer to go with more accurate terms of "terrorist", "invader", or "organized crime".

Exactly. This isn’t a drug related action, at least not primarily. It is a reconquista aka armed invasion action, in this case a probing action to measure the response of US and Texas authorities.

The reconquistas will configure their next action accordingly.

IOW, this is literally an act in preparation for actual low-intensity war.

Dear Mod....is there a chance we can get this out of ‘bloggers’ and in breaking news?

“Two sources inside the Laredo Police Department confirmed the incident is unfolding and they would continue to coordinate with U.S. Border Patrol today. “We consider this an act of war,” said one police officer on the ground near the scene. There is a news blackout of this incident at this time”

The directions are way off though according to google maps. The area they are describing is northwest of Laredo.

So she was off by about 20%. Southern Oregon is about that far from the border. PDX is about 1100 miles, which is smack-dab in the middle of the "Pacific Northwest".

But...I haven't heard of this claim either, so I'm curious to see some corroboration as well.
