I came across the Dean Martin celebrity roasts on an infomercial recently. Some of the best entertainment I have seen on TV in years. Rickles with Ronald Reagan was priceless. I'm not sure of the various entertainers political views at the time, but what a vast difference between those celebs and the chumps who masquerade as stars today.
