Allegations by Representative Joe Sestak (D-Penn) that President Obama offered him a job if he would drop his primary challenge against Pennsylvania’s sitting Democratic Senator Arlen Specter may have all been a misunderstanding according to Presidential advisor Rahm Emanuel.
“I can see how Representative Sestak’s over-inflated ego may have persuaded him that the President would ‘hand him a job,’” Emanuel observed. “But Joe has gotten his wires crossed and completely misunderstood what he was being asked to do. All the President wanted was for Joe to serve as an unpaid member on his staff.”
Emanuel dismissed the charge that a federal law was violated. “First of all, as it turned out, nothing really happened,” Emanuel pointed out. “Joe didn’t grasp the opportunity the President extended to him. Second, both he and the President would’ve been consenting adults. So, even if people may be disgusted and appalled, as we learned during the Clinton Administration, no impeachable offense has been committed.”

No kidding. Sestak has already been severely damaged and Specter is wiped out. If he wants to survive, coming clean is his only hope.
CONTRACT LAW: offer and acceptence AND CONSIDERATION.
For a contract to be legit: and offer and acceptence MUST happen WITH a Consideration. It does not matter what that consideration is.
A consideration can be a piece of bubble gum, if that is what the two parties agree on.
The consideration in the Sestak GATE was and unpaid job,(they say), we suspect it was a high level for pay job.
Considering there were multi job offers....I doubt there was any misunderstanding......liar Rahm...

The funny part is Bill Clinton being hauled in. Why the hell would Bill Clinton do anything unless the WH asked him to. I doesn’t change a damn thing.

Ah, dummy, Clinton WAS impeached - and surrendered his law license and paid fines as a result. They (Congress) passed on prosecuting.

The Obama White House stepped on a land mine when they trusted Bill Clinton to do their dirty work. The Clintons are all about payback. They will never forget the 2008 primary season.

Sestak owes his career to the Clintons. No way he will cross them. That’s why Barry/Rahm chose Billy.
Besides they know the average citizen believes the unbelievable when it comes to Clinton speak..........
are you SURE rahm didn’t approach sestak in the showers with this deal? I wonder if tickle-me massa saw anything?
Sestak is now at a critical juncture. First he reported that a HIGH LEVEL job had been offered and blatted it about in order to enhance his chances in the recent PA Primary; which he won.
Then he stonewalled revealing anything about WHAT the high level job was that he had been offered; until the White House came out with THEIR lying yarn about a non-paying seat on a p.o.s. panel; after which, he immediately rushed to the microphones and AGREED to the WH yarn.
So he either was lying when he first announced that he had been offered a HIGH LEVEL job by the White House; or he is now lying about it being a p.o.s. seat on some panel.
Now that Emanuel has called him an idiot, etc. for misconstruing what was said to him by Slick Willie; not only is he a liar, but a stupid one, according to Rahm. (And Emanuel is on the first of MANY who will dump on him).
It seems to me that it will be very difficult for him to “come clean” since he’s already stated that the WH yarn was FACTUAL. Of course, none of this will amount to “a little toot of flatulence in a hurricaine” if SOMEONE doesn’t have the stones and the bulldoggedness to prosecute this case to the enth degree!
