Not just any Democratic Senate candidate, either. Its Richard Blumenthal, current attorney general of Connecticut, whom Chris Dodd made way for by retiring earlier this year. Hes been leading all Republican challengers by upwards of 20 points in the polls and was considered a mortal lock to win the seat in November. Until now.
Follow the link for the full background of his military history. The five deferments arent the problem. This is the problem:
We have learned something important since the days that I served in Vietnam, Mr. Blumenthal said to the group gathered in Norwalk in March 2008. And you exemplify it. Whatever we think about the war, whatever we call it Afghanistan or Iraq we owe our military men and women unconditional support.
In 2003, he addressed a rally in Bridgeport, where about 100 military families gathered to express support for American troops overseas. When we returned, we saw nothing like this, Mr. Blumenthal said. Let us do better by this generation of men and women.
The New Haven Register on July 20, 2006, described him as a veteran of the Vietnam War, and on April 6, 2007, said that the attorney general had served in the Marines in Vietnam. Blumenthals camp as saying its a hit job
Now here’s a novel use of the old `I got swiftboated’ gambit:
Expand “I got a splinter in my finger and it hurted” to
“I was just embellishing my non-existent war record and someone had the temerity to call me on it.”
Possible ‘Stolen Valor’ prosecution?????
obamas lies about his past are 100 times worse
Stolen Valor.
Did he throw his medals into the river like Kerry?
ROTFLMAO!!!! I love it!
Who ya gonna believe, a Democrat politician or your lying eyes?
Ha Ha Hit job? No, Swift Boat!
Of course Kerry never got in too much trouble for giving the strong impression he was Irish Catholic, maybe this clown will walk on this little goof!
Definitely a hit job. He must have run afoul of the Chicago mafia. How else do you explain the fact that NYT, WaPo, Atlantic and NBC all covered it at the same time?
But the press ain't biased.
This dude and Skerry are both Fing morons and liars.
