Palm Springs Bussing Protesers to LA

Because nothing says “grassroots” like hiring a bunch of tour buses:

Immigration advocates expect roughly 1,000 Coachella Valley residents to caravan to Los Angeles on Saturday for a march protesting a new Arizona immigration law.

“Nine tour buses spread throughout valley cities are scheduled to leave at 7 a.m. ‘We have to demonstrate that we care as a group. People have to realize it’s time to protest before they start doing the same thing in California. We have to act now,’ said Rosalio Plata, president of Club Michoacan, a community civics organization helping sponsor the trip.

In past years, immigrants have held rallies in L.A. on May 1 or May Day. But organizers expect outrage at Arizona’s new law to boost attendance to 100,000 this year.

Coachella Valley has two sactuary cities–perfect cannon fodder for the paid agitators euphemistically described as “organizers.”

Were I an owner operator, I’d keep driving that bus south to the border and turn ‘em over to the BP.

The unions are busing in astroturf rent-a-mob protesters for the Communist holiday “May Day” and we are told that to point out such things is “divisive” and “hate speech”.

Down is up with Communist sympathizers in charge.

I wonder how the 50,000 or so legal Mexican Americans who work and live in the Coachella Valley feel about this? Many are second and third generation Americans. Many currently serve in our Armed forces. Some have paid the ultimate price in Iraq and Afghanistan.

As reported both from Tucson and Phoenix, most Mexican Americans are in favor of enforcement, but there isn't any May Day march planned for them. And the RNC, by not pointing this out, has failed them miserably. Not much different than the RNC's failure to pound home its history of being the party of Lincoln, the Civil Rights Act etc. proudly and without apology.

Isn’t this Smuggling of Aliens, at the very least aiding and abetting. I would expect CRIMINAL CHARGES as well as Civil Asset Forfeiture.

I guess they felt they better not protest in Arizona since their legal status may be in question?

Yeah, go to California! They except trespassers.....

That is about 111 per bus. They way they are used to traveling and these are the little Mayan type they should be able to get by with just 3 buses.

The 'Little Mexico' area of Palm Springs is a scary little shit-sty. I wouldn't be caught dead walking there, day or night.

And that's what these people are marching to celebrate.

I asked a legal immigrant from Mexico about this the other day. She is quite astute about culture & politics and loves America far more passionately than our presidenb & most of congress.

She said that the percentage now of people trying to get in just to find a better life has gotten to be very small—in our closest sanctuary cities, unemployment is at 25%.

But, Mexican legal immigrants seem to have a soft spot, many in the mistaken belief that what’s crossing the border now are people like themselves.

I wondered too, why were the people who immigrated here legally more outraged.

Legal Mexican immigrants need to be educated more as to what is coming over the border—it’s not little families anymore. There’s not enough money to be made bringing them over these days.

I wish I could afford it!

I have become part of the unemployed as of the beginning of this month!

My state needs to crack down as well, but unfortunately they just shot down a bill that would have taken away in-state tuition to illegal aliens. Now that is outrageous!

I'm in the Coachella Valley, and all the local stations are covering the hell out of the little demonstrations.

Those same stations - 3 of 'em - sent no crews to the April 2009 TEA party rally in Palm Desert; a couple of them showed up afterwards to catch the rally signs; that was it.

Very much part of the problem is that those same legal immigrants have shrugged off the problem for decades. Every single one of them has friends who are illegal, the subject is simply avoided in public.

Heck, I only started asking status about ten years ago.

It's going to be very difficult for those folks to come out against illegals in any but one-to-one conversations.

Illegals don’t hide themselves here—with 2 sanctuary cities in the valley, they don’t feel any need to stay within the city limits.
