Senator Patty Murray (D, Wa) doesn't want to hear from her constituents if they are upset at her vote for Obama's take over of our nation's healthcare. One voter in particular has earned Murray's ire. He has almost daily called Murray's offices and in no uncertain terms informed the Senator that he hates her healthcare votes. Really hates it.
Murray was so upset that her constituents had the gall to call and complain that she cravenly called in the F.B.I. to trap upset constituent Charles A. Wilson. The F.B.I. came upon an outrageous idea in order to confirm that the phone number registered in Murray's caller I.D. was, indeed, being used by Mr. Wilson to "threaten" the Senator.
An F.B.I. agent called Wilson and pretended to be a representative of Patients United Now, an arm of the conservative, free-market organization Americans for Prosperity...

Umm . . . he didn’t complain, he threatened to kill her (according to reports).
The article is missing the fact that the nut case was telling her that he was going to kill her.
Remember when the Left used to complain about G-Men “instigating” activities?
Funny thing is, no one believes that the actions of the Weather Underground were designed by government agents trying to discredit “the (pro-North Vietnamese) anti-war movment”.
But it’s okay when they do it to slur domestic organizations that respect our Constitutional form of government and don’t preach sedition (for a system like Communism).
It’s okay to go after a nut case. Is it okay for the government to misrepresent themselves as members of a private politically motivated organization? Sounds like a hijack to me.
Wasn’t Murray elected by several questionable “recounts” and then they suddenly stopped when she was finally ahead?
Looks like he is getting his wish.
Well, that would just be the throwing him in jail part of his wish.
Oh yes, they are our servants.
//sarcasm
Don’t mess with the Master Race of Democrats. ugh
Oh, go ahead and complain to them all you want. Just be sure you leave your name and address and phone number so the FBI can find you without spending taxpayer dollars to track you down.
That doesn’t sound like a death threat.
Sounds more like a “needs” to happen, not a threat to happen.
From the article:
>The government agency makes further complaints against Wilson:
>
> (a) Wilson repeatedly expressed his strong dislike for the recent health-care reform legislation (i.e. I hate it. I hate it!)
So, now it’s illegal or “threatening” to express your dislike of some legislation? When was the 1st Amendment’s guarantee of the right to petition the government for redress repealed?
> (b) Wilson confirmed that he regularly placed calls to Senator Murrays and Senator Maria Cantwells offices. (i.e., I call Murray every day. I call Cantwell. They dont like hearing from me. I call them every day.)
So, consistency and tenacity are illegal or frowned upon now?
> (c) Wilson referred to Senators Murray and Cantwell as the Pike Street whores, as does the caller in the voicemail messages;
How is this threatening? Insulting, maybe because it’s true... but not threatening.
> (d) Wilson also referred to Senator Murray as sneaker shoes Murray, a phrase that also was stated on some of the voicemail messages; and
Your point?
> (e) Wilson made the following remarks, which are similar to the rhetoric in many of the voicemail messages.
>They need to be strung up, and I mean put the gallows.
Treason is defined, partially, as giving aid and comfort to the enemy; what could give more aid and comfort to the enemy than completely ignoring the Constitution and ‘due [legal] process’ of the country?
The traditional penalty of Treason _IS_ hanging.
>I will take no prisoners. And I dont care what they think. They want to come throw me in jail, they can go ahead and do that. Thats fine.
So, how is this threatening? If he’d said “I’m going to capture them all...” he would be called for making a threat of kidnapping; as is there’s been no mention of violent _crimes_ against the senator.
Saying “I believe you are a liar and a traitor; I will not rest until I see you hanging in the gallows” is NOT a crime at all. {And it is more direct than what he said.}
I can’t post the death threats here because they contain a good amount of profanity. Just google the nitwit’s name plus “threat,” and you’ll find them.
Still not a direct threat, but maybe enough to investigate.
But that doesn't mean the FBI should be co-opting someone else's organization. The question in my mind is did they have permission to do so. Even with a warrant I don't think they are able to pretend they are from Patients United Now without their permission to do so in the investigation.
My understanding is that this guy had it coming — he was a nut case issuing death threats against a sitting Senator. The FBI should be conducting investigations of death threats ... and undercover operations (i.e. pretending to be someone you’re not) are not objectionable to catch the threatening individual.
This sounds like a legit criminal investigation of a legit criminal.

No, that was “Governor” Gregoire.
That's a threat.
"Not only do I say, 'Kill the bill!' I say: Kill the [bleep] Senator! Hang the [bleep] [bleep]! Hang that [bleep] [bleep] from a [bleep] gallows! Kill the bill, kill the Senator too."
>I agree till he personalized it with “I will take no prisoners”.
>
>Still not a direct threat, but maybe enough to investigate.
I disagree, it’s obviously int the political sense. {Remember Obama’s “get in their faces”?}
What would have happened if he had said something like “I will capture you” or “I will make you my prisoner”? Those would be construed as threats of kidnapping, no?
Further “I will take no prisoners” with the IMMEDIATELY preceding “They need to be strung up, and I mean put the gallows.” implies the taking and trying of traitors.
>Oh, what the heck (doesn’t anybody look stuff up for themselves before commenting?):
>
>> “Not only do I say, ‘Kill the bill!’ I say: Kill the [bleep] Senator! Hang the [bleep] [bleep]! Hang that [bleep] [bleep] from a [bleep] gallows! Kill the bill, kill the Senator too.”
I was commenting only on what was presented in the article.
Sort of like making apple pie without apples . . . .
