Instead of showing support for an industry that generates more than $1 billion of revenue annually, Gov. Jennifer Granholm (D) is touting Michigan Meatout Day.
March 20 is National Ag Day, but you wouldn't know about it by visiting the web site (right) of Gov. Jennifer M. Granholm (D-Mich.).
Instead of showing support for an industry generating more than $1 billion of revenue annually, Governor Granholm is touting Michigan Meatout Day and encouraging residents of the Great Lake State "to choose not to eat meat," In other words, she's calling for a one-day boycott.
Apparently, Governor Granholm needs to become familiar with the Michigan Food System Profile, a document produced by the Michigan Department of Agriculture that shows where the state ranks nationally in the production of several products, including in the production of hogs and pigs (10th), poultry and eggs (11th), and cattle and calves (26th).
Until she changes her ways, I suggest readers use the contact information below to let Governor Granholm know she needs to remove the "Meatout" information from the state's web site and replace it with information that's really important for the state's future:

Because gawd knows Michigan’s economy is just too great and needs to be toned down.
Well, that’ll do it. She’s going to have the ag community all over her.
I was relieved to see that Meatout day is in Michigan and not San Francisco.
This Granholm chick is a real ditz. Thought things in MI were bad, electing a loon as Gov didn’t seem to help much, now did it?
Stupid is as stupid does.

Every single meat processing plant should immediately apply for incorporation in neighboring states.....
The inmates are running the asylum
Fire up the barbeque!
The inmates have run that particular asylum for a long time.
Got some hot dogs I can grill... but I don’t know if they count as meat, lol. I hear that backyard BBQ’s are illegal in the SanFran area, weird. That would never fly here in Texas.
If I lived in Michigan, she would be prying my steak out of my cold dead hands.
(With apologies to Charlton Heston)
Ag is the second largest industry in the state, and the only one that’s actually growing. So she wants to cut it down to size, I guess.
What was her rationale?
And Michelle Obama is pushing a “Plant Based Diet”. Can you say “POTATO FAMINE!”?
The left seems to oppose prosperity doesn’t it?
Throw another... liberal on the barby?
Rationale? What rationale? Does a flaming lib need a rationale? Translation: I don’t know.
