Even if we were hungry, I don’t think my mom would have sold me as a slave. But I do feel so sorry for those in Haiti. What a nightmare.

I knew this would not be on the upside for Obama, it sounds like Iraq after their government fell. Obama said we will not abandon those people.

“Haiti’s Prime Ministery, Jean-Max Bellerive told CNN that he is receiving reports of children being stolen and trafficked as slaves, sex slaves and for the purpose of having their organs harvested to be sold.”

I predicted exactly this two weeks ago.

“Before long I expect the rumors to start that Americans are harvesting organs from the dead and dying and that all missing children have been taken by Americans to be used as slave.”

Sounds like the US if Obama were allowed to have everything he wanted.

I know there was human trafficking there before the earthquake, but for it to go on now?

There’s a special place in hell for those people.

...reports of children being stolen and trafficked as slaves, sex slaves and for the purpose of having their organs harvested to be sold.

Don't forget there were also reports of cannibalism in New Orleans shortly after Katrina.

I agree. Though undoubtedly, Haiti is a hellhole, I'll hold off believing that until something actually substantiates that rumor.

"Don't forget there were also reports of cannibalism in New Orleans shortly after Katrina."

Many stories have been written concerning some pretty disturbing behaviors that supposedly took place during and in the aftermath of Katrina. Most of them, including the ones alluding to cannibalism, have been debunked.

So will many of these.

Particularly the one about "children being stolen to have their organs harvested".

I wasn’t referring to orphans. From the article:

“...is a common arrangement where children from poor families, usually girls, are sent to homes in the capital with a promise that they will do some work and be educated. Rarely do they see the inside of a school though. Sometimes the parents send a child away because they can’t afford to take care of her. Other times they send her away because there’s no school where they live. Sometimes the child is sold for money...”
