Hayworth faced ethical scrutiny during his unsuccessful reelection campaign for his ties to disgraced lobbyist Jack Abramoff, whose Native-American clients contributed $100,000 to his campaigns. He is still paying off legal debt that he accumulated preparing for a possible federal investigation in connection with the Abramoff scandal.

Let him run and let the AZ voters decide. A corrupt politician...wow, never heard of that.
To: jyoders19
I sure won’t support him. He could have easily picked off a Democratic Congressman in this political environment.
Maybe Hayworth has a score to settle.
To: AKReportz
Your forgot your sarcasm tag. McCain is the king of having ethics issues. Can you say Keating five. That you, a newbie, would call JD a loser makes me wonder what your DU screen name is. Sarah does have her own problems with her support for McLame but hopefully she will learn not to hitch her wagon to a rotten post like McCain.

Of course not.

Can we say “Ted Stevens” the Alaskan senator who was railroaded out of office by a lying prosecution ? I only wish McCain had been this willing to use dirty tricks to knock out Zero when he ran. (Only with Zero you did not have to make anything up).

“Hell never get close to McCain with Palin and Brown in his corner.”
I don’t think their support of McLame will help any more than the RNC party hacks support of Suntan Charlie Crist will help him.
We need Hayworth in the Senate even more than we need Rubio (we need both).
Go, J.D.!

I found that out when I told her about the comment Chris Van Hollen made regarding the possibility of Brown defeating Coakley last week.
After I explained it to her, she understood why Democrats shouldn't use "Ted Kennedy", "keys to the car", and "walking away from the scene of an accident" in the same sentence.

The Unconstitutional McCain-Feingold bill helped elect Obama and a Dem Congress.
The damage it caused to this country is incalculable. The economy and market are headed down. Thank f*****g McCain.

I like Sarah Palin just fine and feel no ill will for her loyalty. Also, its pretty standard to support the incumbant over an in party challenger.
That said, only a fool would believe that she’ll be of any real help to him in a senate race. Its not like she’s running for vice senator or anything. As far as Scott Brown is concerned, The win is good but he’s no flyover country conservative.

I don’t know a damn thing about Hayworth but when someone gets attacked this much this fast with out anyone offering a reasoned response you must be pushing on a sore spot.

The reason we don't know that it because it isn't true. McCain sat in a meeting with Keating. That's it. That's all he did. McCain's name was dragged in to the scandal to make it "bipartisan".
It is clear to me that you don't know much about the Keating Five scandal. That doesn't stop you from smearing Senator McCain, though.
If ethics were important to you, there is no way you could compare McCain's involvement in the Keating Five with Hayworth's involvement in the Abramoff scandal. The Abramoff scandal enlarged the personal bank account of JD and Mary Hayworth through Hayworth's PAC. No money went directly to McCain in the Keating Five.

I don’t have a problem with your support for Sarah Palin. But she has made a mistake supporting McCain. You’ve made a mistake trying to bolster her position by posting a Politico hit piece on JD Hayworth. He is a wonderful conservative and as has already been mentioned, we need both JD and Rubio in office. I hope you can learn from your mistake.
