Hayworth faced ethical scrutiny during his unsuccessful reelection campaign for his ties to disgraced lobbyist Jack Abramoff, whose Native-American clients contributed $100,000 to his campaigns. He is still paying off legal debt that he accumulated preparing for a possible federal investigation in connection with the Abramoff scandal.

You don't make a lot of sense to me.

Who are you?

I sure won’t support him. He could have easily picked off a Democratic Congressman in this political environment.

That's usually where it goes after a primary.

Are you aware that during the 1980s, McCain took bribes and kickbacks from Charles Keating, whose Savings and Loan was later bailed out by the U.S. taxpayer?

Of course not.

The reason we don't know that it because it isn't true. McCain sat in a meeting with Keating. That's it. That's all he did. McCain's name was dragged in to the scandal to make it "bipartisan".

It is clear to me that you don't know much about the Keating Five scandal. That doesn't stop you from smearing Senator McCain, though.

If ethics were important to you, there is no way you could compare McCain's involvement in the Keating Five with Hayworth's involvement in the Abramoff scandal. The Abramoff scandal enlarged the personal bank account of JD and Mary Hayworth through Hayworth's PAC. No money went directly to McCain in the Keating Five.

Three words for McCain:

McCain-Feingold
Amnesty

Juan McCain can go to h*ll.

Would you say the same thing about George W. Bush?
GWB signed McCain-Feingold into law.
GWB wanted an amnesty bill for illegal aliens.

I don’t have a problem with your support for Sarah Palin. But she has made a mistake supporting McCain. You’ve made a mistake trying to bolster her position by posting a Politico hit piece on JD Hayworth. He is a wonderful conservative and as has already been mentioned, we need both JD and Rubio in office. I hope you can learn from your mistake.

Too bad John McCain won’t go after Democrats that way.

No kidding. Instead he chooses to kiss Obozo's ass and expects conservatives to kiss his.

As it was in the primary, the noobs are coming out in force for McQueeg.

I suspect the IP addresses track back to a certain institute in Alexandria, Virginia.

Keating 5 is the least of McCain’s many sins against our country.

Johnnie the genius couldn’t wait to suspend his campaign so he could run to Washington and spray paint his name all over the wildly unpopular bank bailout.

Funny how his name comes up at number 3 on the AIG donor list, right behind Obama.

Good try MaCainiac!

Hayworth was investigated and no charges were filed against him. Still, he was stuck with the legal fees of defending himself.

Your Rino is going down, down, down. I can wait to see the free speech expressed against him leading right up to the election now that the free speech he has denied us has been re-instated by the Supreme Court! He’s a goner. Kiss him goodbye. Not even Sarah can save his Rino butt.

Palin is a corruption fighter.

Yeah, right. Is that why she is supporting a member of the Keating 5?

We got the McCainiacs hitting the boards today, I see. Hey Rinos! Good luck with that. We know your “friend across the aisle” a tad too well here. We are loaded for bear.

It is clear to me that you don't know much about the Keating Five scandal. That doesn't stop you from smearing Senator McCain, though.

It isn't a smear if it's true.

"I was very, very concerned about the appearance of the meetings before I went," he said. I'm a big boy. I made the decision." His first real effort to explain came at a Phoenix news conference a week after The Arizona Republic reported that he and his family had vacationed at Mr. Keating's home in the Bahamas in 1984, 1985 and 1986, and had only belatedly reimbursed the developer's company for flights there on the corporate jet.

and

Senator McCain said he was unaware that some of the personal flights had not been paid for until Mr. Keating's accountants brought them to his attention in March 1989. He made the reimbursements in May and June.

Mr. McCain, who of the five Senators was the closest socially to Mr. Keating, would travel with the businessman to his vacation home in the Bahamas, where they swam, snorkeled and went fishing. But he did not repay more than $13,000 to American Continental until 1989, when he said the company notified him that the bill was due.

The Senator insisted that his payments were tardy because of lax personal accounting, and he denied that he intended to get free trips.

Maybe the most of the base of what used to be the Republican party has a many scores to settle with the Rino backstabber.

Hmm, IIRC, Hayworth was CLEARED of any wrongdoing.

Meanwhile, wasn't McCain one of the Keating Five ? ;-)

Cheers!
