There is a seachange in the attitude of the left. A left that can no longer marginalize oposition with acusations of racism, and extremism; that model just does not hold up in the demographic of the Massachusetts election. Since the Administration is unwilling to call the vote what it is: a referendum on our liberal agenda, the new effort is to associate the anger that voters expressed at the polls with the momentum that carried Obama into office. Prior to the election, the left characterized angry voters as extremists and racists. Now, however, there is a rush to paint a different picture. Massachusetts shows a clear centrist movement of a dissatisfied electorate. Here is Robert Gibbs explaining that this is just a hold-over of anger from the 2008 election.

Is there even one person in a hundred, regardless of political beliefs, who would honestly believe that nonsense? Some might say it, but actually believe it?
The believing or philosophical Liberal believes something is true because he says it is true. Reality is a mental construct. I have been educated in this by my old bud who is now a professor at UF. He is very high IQ but, as with most such folks in the Academy, severely limited by his milieu. These folks believe that their imagination constitutes reality but they cannot make the obvious link i.e. that they do not have to "struggle" to bring about the Utopia of which they dream, they merely need to think it and it will be real. They compromise with their view of Reality and come to believe that they "merely" must make all other people, or, at least, all those who survive, believe in their Utopia.
You people are toast, and no rationalizations or linguistic gymnastics are going to change that.
And, we have loooong memories.
After reading the post-mortems of the MA election on leftist blogs, I'd have to say the troops haven't gotten the message. They want Obama to ram "change" down the throat of the rotten "obstructionist" right.
If this is what Axelrod is putting out, I give an expiration of about 24 hours, maybe less.
Really getting interesting....
Nice.

I'll believe it when I see it. The DemonRats have been doing that for as long as I've been following politics, and that's at least the early 80's.
On a side note, that blogger needs a proofreader--or at least needs to run a spell check. There are three spelling errors in the sentence I quoted above. Poor spelling diminishes the strength of one's written argument.
