with the flurry of retirements, one conclusion that could be made is that dem members of congress aren’t getting a very good reception back home from their constituents.

Hated to see Dodd get thrown under the bus like that. He would have been easy pickings in November. Now it is unlikely that the repubs will pick up that seat. And there is a good chance Liebs will lose on the next go round.

IT DOESN’T MATTER!!! These democrats have a life time profitable position with the new health insurance beauracracy. Every single democrat in favor of this health insurance reform bill can be voted out of office but we will be forever stuck with them controlling our lives. As Nancy Pelosi says she doens’t care if democrats lose power in the house. They are ALL safe in the new government agencies. If this monstrosity passes, each of these liberals will be forever employed one way or another with more power than they could have ever enjoyed as an elected official.

How so?

They will pass a bill to steal our private healthcare and our earnings. A bill that will not be repealed. Thousands will be hired to work for the Feds, and thousands more will be dependant on the Feds.

They may lose some seats in the process, but will gain them back in a few years.

The Right is dead.

Well, I said it would pass the House, I said it would pass the Senate, I said they wouldn't conference much if at all, I said Pelosi will pretend to give up on the “public option” (knowing it is in the bill by another name).

So far and unfortunately I have been correct.

All these months of waiting for the inevitable have been wasted.

You should have seen him the night before on O'Reilly.

Bill O asked Steele some very simple questions and Steele looked lost, and mumbled something non-sensical.

He's an idiot.
