NYPost ^ | 11/13/09 | Michael Shain

But the beginning of the end really came in July, when CNN President Jonathan Klein told Dobbs' staff in a memo to drop so-called birther stories about conspiratorial doubts that Obama was US-born, sources told The Post.

“Lou Dobbs walked away from more than $9 million when he quit CNN, ending a long-running clash that boiled over during a debate about President Obama’s birth certificate, sources said yesterday.”

Since I don’t watch CNN, someone will have to tell me Dobb’s position on this.

If Lou Dobbs can’t get a gig on Fox News or Fox Business News, I don’t know where else he can go.

His radio show is no great shakes. A Rush Limbaugh he ain’t.

I guess he could run for Senator from New Jersey. That would be a long-shot, and the next election isn’t until 2012 anyway.

Well, I thought that is what a ‘journalist’ was supposed to do.

By the way, I doubt if Lou Dobbs walked away from $9 million. If he was smart, he made sure that he got at least $3 million to walk away from CNN.

His mistake was attacking a sitting president and not being able to push the issue all the way to the end. (In this case proving Obama wasn’t qualified to be a president.)

Fox News won't let Dobbs mention Obama’s natural born status.

I read that “thugs” from the Obama Administration basically threatened the lives and families of news media members who brought up the birth certificate issue.

Pelosi committed treason by signing his eligibility statement and so did Hawaii’s Secretary of State.

The world will never know as Emanuel’s Chicago-Israeli lowbrow killers will keep it under wraps.

What the conservative media fails to understand is:

Obama WILL SHUT THEM DOWN ANYWAY.
Obama WILL STEAL THEIR WEALTH ANYWAY!

So...The conservative media should go after Obama any way they can....and...That includes talking about his natural born status BIG TIME!

( And..Yes, I am shouting!)

That is what a journalist is "supposed" to do which is why they have no use for him at CNN.

The birth certificate issue is off limits. Even Fox won't touch it. The threats....uh i mean...word was put out long ago to stay away from that topic.

Like i said in a reply here, the birth certificate option isn’t even being addressed by Fox. They don’t even go as far with the illegal alien issue on Fox as Dobbs did. So if Fox is at all interested in him, they’d want him to shut off on those issues, which he won’t do.

So maybe he’ll just take the millions he’s got and retire. But i know that he feels like he needs to talk about these things because nobody else is. But as you say, where does he go from here? Maybe to World Net Daily. Back to the internet.......

Yep, they sent them this "gentle reminder" of Vince Foster:

I assumed that he had a CNN contract for $9 mil. If he quit, that would be the $9 mil he walked away from.

Well, no one know how they settled the contract. My guess is CNN would pay Dobbs $3 million to leave CNN and cancel the $9 million contract. But that is just a guess.
