This just looks bad. Really bad. The New York Times Company has been required to reveal startling management incompetence, an inability to correctly apply its own executive compensation scheme to the top two figures in the company, overpaying the bosses. Publicly-traded corporations like the Times must file a Form 8K within four days of various events, so the details of the screw-up are now on the record. The company filed the 8K following the end of trading yesterday. A summary of the substance is here.

Hopefully it will follow the Chicago Sun-Times to the door of the plane and jump before remembering they have no chute.

Now come on, they could’ve just as easily given themselves too little, it could happen you know, but it just turned the way it did. And there's no point in trying to give it back, think of the cost of the new filing!

From the article: In Japan, the honorable thing to do would be to resign in disgrace.

Yes but in America the honorable thing to do is scream victim hood and grab another piece.

“The honorable thing to do would be to resign.”

There is nothing honorable in the heart of Pinch Sulzberger. As the Times slowly subsides under the weight of its toxic belief system, and its inability to adapt to the new world of the internet, I say good riddance to Pinch and to the whole destructive lot of them.

The NYT will have the same fate as the homosexuals who dominate it: it will die and leave no descendants.

To the extent they weaken the NYT by stealing from it, they are hastening there own death and killing the hand that feeds them.

We must cheer them on.

Shared corporate values being as important as they are, this renders the New York Times ripe for a merger with ACORN.
