Sarah Palin: The Media’s Un-acknowledged Shame
Cross Action News ^ | 7-5-09 | Rev Michael Bresciani

The jokes of David Letterman and the article in Vanity Fair perhaps were the straw that broke the camels back but it is the total lack of fairness the media showed that is a scathing indictment against them. If the country had a media czar it would seem appropriate that at this point he or she would be offering a public apology to Palin and that very humbly. Perhaps the czar could hang his head in shame as the proxy for the entire band of media thugs who reveled in the indignities.

We have a media that thinks the story of the congressional race where the candidate has been known to dawn diapers in comedy skits is real news and the photo snaps of the President on the beach is titillation for the rest of us. Who are these heavily biased lug nuts and what have they done to the once respected field known as journalism?

They slandered her family and drove Gov Palin from office. The libs won, and will continue to win until they pay some price for what they did. To date neither Vanity Fair or Huff Po or Letterman have paid any price for their lies. Yet they have badly damaged one of the top GOP candidates. Any rational evaluation says they have hit on a winning strategy and will continue to use it until something changes.

Sarah Palin and her vocal Traditional Family Value supporters threaten the liberal monopoly on power in Washington. ...plain and simple.

The morally void liberal elitists are scared to death of her and what she represents.

The are scared to death of us that cling to our bibles, our guns and our God-given freedoms.

If Palin is expecting any heartfelt apologies, she is going to have to wait until pigs fly and hell freezes over to get them.

Furthermore, the attacks on Palin are going to continue unabated and will probably even increase in quantity and nastiness now because of her decision to resign.

Once she wins a big libel suit, and she is now free to do that, they will back off a bit.

Sarah Palin would do more for the nation, in my opinion, to take over the RNC and kick out Steele. She could get much more done for this nation as opposed to running for office - that could come later...

This would:

* Bring conservative principles back to the RNC (small government, get government out of our lives, lower taxes, 2nd amendment support, state's rights, small business support, strong defense, non-nonsense foreign policies) Conservatism works every time it is tried.

* She could be a credible spokesperson for energy, drilling, etc in light of sane environmental impact.

* She could, on a daily basis, take the wind out of Barry's sails on a host of his anti-American issues (bank take-overs, nationalization of sectors of the economy, socialism, bigger government, anti-job creation). Her media appeal would shift away from the daily barrage of "new plans" put out by Barry, Rahm, Steffy, and David. She would be a countervailing force to the crap we get from the White Crib.

* She could - and this is the biggest reason - help with a 1994-esque take-over of both houses and start blocking the hopey-dopey-changey-strangey crap we have had for the last 6 months.

Letterman reminds me of a feuding hillbilly; he is all vile hate-speech without reason and intellectual venture.

She is the biggest draw in the Republican Party. I challenge others to name one other person in the Party who could draw tens of thousands to hear them speak. They cant.

The Mark Levin show from July 3rd is Worth listening to.

My experience with rural America tended to be the feuds were deep, but circumspect. Outright slander like Letterman's would at a minimum bet you beat up or less likely shot. It is amazing how polite one becomes when you know that crossing the line can cost you your teeth.

You mean like you insulting her with your sexist, nasty and disgusting "menstruation controls her politics" insults?

That something happened last Friday when Sarah declared her Independence. I believe she's ready to come out fighting, now that it won't affect the people of Alaska. Her family is ready, as well, as witnessed by the yeahs and Hell yeahs she got from them when she told them her decision.

Is there a troll on the loose? It's not just the date of joining that suggests a troll. It's the refocus of subjects to something "weird".

I am not sure if Ev is a troll, but let's see if he/she posts again.

I’ve seen a lot worse comments on this forum and I think we need to lighten up here a bit.

She already said, in her interview with Matt Lauer, that she doesn't expect, nor does she need, any apologies for herself. She did, however, expect one for the young women of America who some media folks believe can be denigrated without consequence.

She's ready to fight back, and some of us here stand ready to help her. Even if she never runs for public office again, she'll be a strong voice for conservatism.
