The Two-State Solution is IMPOSSIBLE !!!
Rubin Reports/National Post/Yidwithlid ^ | 5/27/09 | The Lid

Most people do not understand the real problem with securing a "two-state solution" between the Palestinians and Israel, only one side, Israel is interested in achieving peace. The Palestinians have NEVER made the commitment to live aside a Jewish State of Israel, in fact the new PA government is not even willing to commit to new negotiations. As reported by my friend Barry Rubin:

The Palestinian Authority (PA) has announced its thirteenth government in fourteen years.

Its prime minister is Salam Fayad, a Westernized professional economist who has no political base whatsoever. Why is he prime minister? The only reason is because otherwise Western donors wouldn’t give the money to the PA to function.

After the ceremony, Fayyad rejected talks with Israel at present:

"I do not think this is the appropriate time to talk about negotiations when Israel is not honoring prior agreements and understandings."

If Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu had said anything like that—in Washington he said he was eager to renew talks—the headline on every newspaper in the world would be: Netanyahu Refuses to Negotiate Peace with Palestinians. Source Rubin Reports.

The Palestinians don't want peace, its bad for buisness. It is the hatred of Israel that allows the PA to keep power. It deflects public anger from their own fraud and incompetence to the "evil Zionist entity:"

Well the Palestinians do need a place to store their weapons.

Funny...a “two state solution” wasn’t so popular during the Civil War, was it?

It's all a charade. Everything boils down to the Palestinians "Right of Return" which will eliminate Israel. After they get all the concessions, all the cease fires and dismantling of the settlements, they will finally and ultimately demand their right of return.

It will be refused and the war will continue.

It is not possible.

If you believe it is possible, think for a moment if within the USA, in and around the DC area for example, a large group of people wanted to break off from the country, take part of DC with it, and part of Maryland or Virginia with it, to be a separate state. See how well that would fly with us. Further, add to the equation that the separate nation HATES the USA, has resorted to violence and terrorism against the USA, has bombed the metro system, tried to shoot down jets flying into National Airport with hand-held rockets, and has suicide bombed public places and buses on a regular basis.

There would be no way we’d put up with that. We’d wipe them out. Yet we think this is the ONLY way to go when it comes to Israel.

Land for Peace is a myth and impossible when one side doesn’t want peace. They only want land, and more land and more land until Israel literally IS pushed out into the sea.

How much does the world need to pay off Jordan and Egypt to take the territories back?

Probably not enough. Even if Saudi chipped in. Our Chinese bankers certainly do not care.

I don’t understand what you are saying about Jordan and Egypt.

I’ve never thought it possible. The Muslims can’t settle one anything but a one religion solution...think they’re going to settle for two states, one Jewish? It’s a myth to allow the Arabs to keep fighting.

Gaza and West Bank were Egyptian and Jordanian territories before the war in the 60’s.

My understanding is the Israelis offered but the Egyptians refused to take gaza back.

They cannot even settle the one religion solution. You have Sunni and Shia muslims that are not friendly towards each other. That’s been going on for about 1400 years too when the factions split after the syphilitic, child raping, demon-possessed Mohammed died.

They don’t want them. No muslim country wants them. Defeats the whole point of their usefulness to the muslim world if they do.
