Needs of the Many ^

Posted on 05/27/2009 10:33:37 AM PDT by vaper69

A Texas woman put up an American flag for Memorial Day, and was told to remove it because it was offensive to a coworker.

The kicker is the offended employee is not from the United States. I know ... shocker.

“Well, I’m offended that he’s offended by the very symbol providing his freedom of expression!”

“So both of you get out of my face while you figure out who will win in court!”

Backpeddling: local CBS11 article

Excerpt:

"Then, late Wednesday morning, Kindred posted on its website a statement about the incident. It reads, in part: "The disagreement was over the size of the flag and not what it symbolized. We have invited the employee to put the flag back up."

"formally from Africa." Golly, which part I wonder?

The ungrateful scum needs a year "back home" to remind them why the hell they HERE and what that "offensive" flag is all about..

McLucas said the supervisor who complained has been in the United States for 14 years and is formerly from Africa. McLucas said that supervisor took down the flag herself.

"The flag and the pole had been placed on the floor," McLucas said.

On the floor? Did the African trample on it too?

I flew my flag. I walked a few blocks around the neighborhood on Memorial Day. I was surprised to say that a person could count on one hand the # of flags flying. So much for patriotism nowadays.

It reads, in part: "The disagreement was over the size of the flag and not what it symbolized.

How exactly would someone get "offended" by the "size" of a flag, rather than its meaning?

“How exactly would someone get “offended” by the “size” of a flag, rather than its meaning? “

Maybe somebody said “Move your big butt out of the way. I can’t see my 3’ x 5’ flag on the wall.” ???

My youngest is in the Navy. I am very proud but concerned about his future with this President. I pray for you in your profound grief.
