As a right-wing extremist (i.e., conservative Tea Partier) from NJ, I have no faith in Christie. Only Steve Lonegan lives the conservatism that the state’s leadership has lacked for years. With the possible exception of Kean, centrist-liberal Republicans (I’m thinking Whitman) did not serve the party well.

NJ is one of the highest taxed, highest crime, highest regulated states. The only thing it is *not* tried is true conservative leadership. Christie simply cannot provide that leadership.

If it is Christie vs Corzine, I will crawl across broken glass to vote for Christie. But in the primary, I’m voting for Lonagan.

Well, maybe not broken glass...but in that event I will vote for the Republican. I am voting for Lonegan in the primary and pray that he wins. I’ve had my fill of Whitman like RINOs,

election after election after election we hear this...has never materialized. I am hoping that our new blue states turn back red before I start worrying about New Jersey. We are losing states like crazy...Virginia, North Carolina, Nevada, Indiana, New Mexico are all blue. We almost lost Georgia!!! We need to begin finding ways to turn these states back to red.

Ditto. Which just makes it the NJ version of Obama vs. McCain. We’re screwed either way, just a little less with Christie.

Less screwed is less screwed.

I am just trying to avoid the usual Circular Firing Squad approach to Republican primaries.

I voted for Chris Christie

I don't know if he'll beat corzine
(or the guy that gets stuck in at the last minute ala torrecelli)

I'm sure that the huge increase in electric bills this summer will not make people happy campers with the staus quo.

Lonegan wants to raise taxes, Christie say’s he won’t.
Guess who’s getting my vote.

Amen to that. Christie will throw conservatives under the bus if elected. The man simply does not walk the talk. Pro-abortion, thinks being an illegal alien is not a crime, supports 2nd Amendment infringements among other non-conservative positions. I want a candidate that is conservative all the time, not just when there's a primary coming up and the lights are on & the cameras rolling.
