the PBS FM station here in town related, this morning, that less than 50% of the public regard him in a POSITIVE light and only about 10% support the congressional "leadership" = those are REALLY low "positives" for a new POTUS, 90 days into his first term AND for ANY congress.

This is excellent that Carville thinks this. I hope Axelrod and the rest of them believe this as well.
Did you know that Karl Rove and Bush thought a forty year period of Republican ascendency would result after their term? Rove was trying to recreate the fourth party alignment system. He was trying to turn Bush into a McKinley. They are trying to turn Obama into an FDR.
A re-alignment didn’t work for Rove and it won’t work for Axelrod either. The reason being is that America is no longer in the Industrial Age. Trying to replicate FDR today is like trying to replicate Polk last century.
What is so delicious is the stereotypes that are being handed around. Hispanics are going to deliver ‘Democrat rule’? You mean the ones who overall put George W. Bush into governorship of Texas? The same ones who are responsible for banning gay marriage in California? Hispanic is an ethnicity, like Irish, like German, and the race of hispanics is ‘white’ (they are descended from Spanish and Portugese who are well known for being considered the ‘white race’). If Spanish weren’t ‘white’, then why are the liberals so angry at the conquistadors (sp?)? The only reason why hispanic is not considered ‘white’ is for affirmative action, but they are members of the white race.
As for the young people, this is incorrect due to the focus of polling at colleges. Colleges are 60% female if not more. Also, traditional colleges are on the road to implosion anyway with the declining value of the degree and the ever rising tuition costs.
It is easy to predict the long term results of factions especially due to their birth rates. What happens when one faction believes in abortion and the other does not? Well, you end up with something like France where Muslims, who make babies, end up becoming larger and larger in contrast to the rest of the population.
I know this is politics, but you have to laugh at the sheer arrogance of these people. They are SO LONGING, so HOPEFUL, so DREAMING of a New Deal re-alignment, that they truly believe one election means a massive change in voter behavior... when all data shows that didn’t happen. It is obvious that Obama’s electoral victory was one of personality, just like every other candidate in the last few decades.
I hope Carville truly believes what he says. An opponent is weakest when he thinks he is unbeatable.
hear me now & REMEMBER it the day AFTER the 2010 election: the DIMS will LOSE both houses, as they always do the same STUPID THINGS.

This is the “luxuriating” that I was talking about. Everything is as it should be—just another election cycle.
Forget the nationalization, the monumental spending/shackling with debt, the POTUS essentially firing private sector business leaders, universal health care, cap and trade, and on, and on. Cuz we’re gonna beat them in 2010!
