By Michael Webster, Syndicated Investigative Reporter Early this month U.S. Border Patrol agents from the Tucson, Ariz. sector and agents of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement were again fired upon with what appeared to be military type automatic weapons by Mexican drug smugglers dressed in military garb. Agents after observing a Flatbed tow truck on the Mexican side of the U.S. Mexican border backed up to the new international border fence. According to witnesses the tow truck backed up on a newly constructed earthen dirt berm which put the truck almost even with the height of the fence. The tow truck operator slowly unloaded two trucks laden with marijuana over the 18 ft. high fence to the U.S. side of the border. The entire episode was caught on the remote camera surveillance system and watched by U.S. predator and National Guard camera operators who were able to coordinate Border Patrol field agents to the scene. Shortly after arriving several Border Patrol agents came under fire after

The actual title DOES use "tactic's" with an apostrophe.
First rate journalism, that.
Wow...the source title actually does have that apostrophe in “tactic’s.” Someone needs an editor.
Could have easily been solved by dropping a hellfire on them, but hey what do I know.
Borderline reporting?
Snipers should be present during as many border related issues as possible and anytime agents are fire upon, they go immediately green.
“fired upon with what appeared to be military type automatic weapons by Mexican drug smugglers dressed in military garb”
With some insight, this might read:
“Mexican military smuggling drugs and firing on U.S. Border Patrol.”
Is there any other kind of dirt berm than the 'earthen' kind?

Sounds like a good idea to me!
“Smugglers”, hell.
It was probably the Mexican Army!
Oh, wait... the terms are synonymous...

The threat that is Mexico has FINALLY hit the media!
You know its BAD, when they finally report it. Last night, CBS Nightly News with Couric did a solid 10 minutes on the WAR in MEXICO that has NOW spilled over our borders.....More deaths than Iraq....more beheadings (even showed the bodies!)....5th journalist killed this year....citizens in terror...and ALL the stuff weve been crying about for how many years??
Well, McCain, et als PC immigration experiment has finally left us with what I believe is a terrible dilemma. We will be overrun with an exodus from Mexico like nothing this nation has ever seen. We will either take them or we will be forced to send troops to Mexico to work along side a corrupt army and police.
One way or another a lot of people are going to die over some people’s greed/ideology.

WASHINGTON Mexican drug traffickers who pair up with gangs and use a sophisticated network to smuggle drugs across the border have become the biggest organized crime threat to the United States, the Justice Department reported Monday.
Most of the cocaine available in the U.S. is brought across the southwest border by Mexican groups, according to the annual report by the Justice Departments National Drug Intelligence Center.
Additionally, Mexican drug smugglers are increasingly working with Italian Mafia and other traditional organized crime groups nationwide, the report says.
Mexican drug trafficking organizations represent the greatest organized crime threat to the United States, the report concluded. The influence of Mexican drug trafficking organizations over domestic drug trafficking is unrivaled..[snip]

Gunmen open fire in Tijuana attorney general’s office
BY MARIANA MARTINEZ
http://www.miamiherald.com/news/americas/story/817487.html
Gunmen opened fire in the state attorney general’s office in Tijuana on Wednesday, wounding three agents, police said.
One of the state officers was in serious condition after the 1:30 a.m. attack, a news release from the Tijuana police department said.
City police said they had no further details, and the Baja California state attorney general’s office declined to comment.
Drug gangs have raided police offices in the past to rescue members in custody. Some have even invaded hospitals to kill wounded rivals.[snip]
Did no one previously notice them building a dirt berm tall enough to hand stuff over an 18 foot fence?!?!?
Is this not a “double fence” with a no-man’s land in between?
Who would be dumb enough to build a single fence and expect it to actually keep anyone out?
The last time I opened fire in an attorney general’s office I got in BIG trouble.
I guess that just illustrates one of the major differences between our two countries.
;^)
That's nice, but it sound like we need A10's.
Has noone figured out that digging a ditch on our side of the fence would stop a lot of this? They can lift things over the fence all day, but if it can’t cross the ditch, they are out of luck.
