Amid polls indicating that his characterization of Pennsylvania voters as racist rednecks may cost Representative John Murtha (D-Pa.) his long-held seat in congress, presumptive president-elect, Senator Obama urged voters to seriously consider the consequences before taking this drastic step.
Should the bitter voters of the Pennsylvania backwoods reject this great American, I will find a place for him in my administration, Obama promised.
The Illinois senator hinted that Murtha might well end up as Secretary of Defense where he can preside over the trials of American war criminals who have been killing innocent women and children in Iraq.

AZConservative it too close to the truth to be satire
Sounds like a threat to me!
So now Obama is resorting to threats? Big surprise there ... not.
How hard is it to write satire that becomes truth a week later?
I’d hate to think the Damage that could be done if Lardass Murtha was to go back to Pennsylvania, with Nothing to do!
This is a free country. If the voters feel as though they have been treated unfairly, then they are free to vote their representative out of office. Mr. Obama has no right to weigh in on this and sound like he is threating against such action.
I dont think Obama actually said any of those things
satire satire satire satire satire.......
[though unfortunately it has the ring of plausibility and it might as well be true]
And what is there to prevent Obama’s giving Murtha a position in his administration if he “does” win?
He needs more time. He hasn’t called his constituents Nazi’s, fag haters, or Holy rollers yet.
Sounds like we need a new ad in Pennsylvania. Obama promises to override the will of the people.
This is how Muslims work. Take it by force or fear.
That works for me!
While probably true, we all realize here that if enough backwoods rednecks show up to turn out Murtha, there won’t be an Obama administration.
Go rednecks! We love you guys!!
That’s your personal rant, go stuff it!!!
The great problem we have is that the left’s behavior and rhetoric is not inconsistent with what we consider material for satire.
No one would have believed a piece of satire displaying a congressman in a re-election campaign describing his constituents as racist rednecks. It would have been past the point of credulity
