Obama on Nuclear, Environmental Issues: Ready to Lead?

Obama and the Democrats claim the environment as an issue solely their own. But are they ready to lead?

The New York Times had a great article yesterday about the Hanford Nuclear Reservation in my home state of Washington, detailing the facility's role in the Manhattan Project and production of the bomb dropped on Nagasaki, ending World War II.

Today, it's a environmental clean-up project that costs the federal government $2 billion a year. The NYT reports that the project is "thought to be the world’s largest environmental cleanup."

Surely the Democratic presidential candidate has something substantive and thoughtful to say about this imminently important environmental issue. Does he?
