I'll find at least one or two sane third party candidates I can vote for. . . .

Sanity is overrated. Go for the looniest lefty you can find.

Funny (or not) thing is they are both trying to look normal.

Gravel does a very good job of biting at the heels of shills like HRC. . . .

Shill Hill's heels blend into her cankles.

This is your last warning, fellow Dems, nominate Hillary and the party is finished.

Let's see if I have this straight. Progressives say that if the Dems nominate Hillary they're finished, and conservatives say that if the Pubs nominate Rudy they're finished.

Sounds pretty good to me thus far, but then who will run the country? Maybe we could get Perot to come out of retirement or wherever he's hiding, and lead us on to bigger and better things. And if Perot turns us down there's always THIS guy.

Hey don't laugh, could Jonathon the Impaler he be any worse than Hillary the Beast?

Hillary is about as trustworthy as her husband.

Great campaign slogan! I like it!

HILLARY IS ABOUT AS TRUSTWORTHY
AS HER HUSBAND

MRS. BILL CLINTON '08

“In the kitchen with Hillary, running for VP:”

“Someone’s in the kitchen with Hill’ry; someone’s in the kitchen, I know...” - from “I’ve Been Workin’ on the Campaign,” perhaps.

And should you doubt that Gravel is eccentric, then I invite you to take a look at his campaign VIDEO where he stares wordlessly into the camera for several minutes followed by him tossing a large rock into the water and then just walking silently off into the distance.

This may be a reference to a famous Buddhist haiku.* Or he may just be a few fries short of a Happy Meal.

[*Famous to Buddhists, anyway.]

That picture is from the cover of SPY, February 1993. I found it in an old box of books and magazines I had in the garage.

I’ve noticed that the hatred of Hillary has sort of decreased on Daily Kos than it was a few months ago. I think even the morons over there know she is inevitable.

You know, this DUmmie and HUffie and KOssie fascination with the once-senator from Alaska confounds me; he should actually be considered an enemy of theirs.

Long before J. William Fulbright, Eugene McCarthy, Robert Kennedy, and George McGovern jumped on the anti-war bandwagon, there were two “doves” on Vietnam—Wayne Morse (D-Oregon) and Ernest Gruening (D-Alaska).

In 1968, Mike Gravel challenged the Democrat incumbent, Gruening, in the Alaska primary.

From the right.

Gravel won, and went on to become a U.S. Senator.

From the right.

The elections of 1968 were interesting; IN THEORY, this was when people wanted us out of Vietnam, but IN FACT, the two most prominent “doves,” Morse and Gruening, were defeated for re-election, Morse by a liberal Republican and Gruening by a Democrat running to the right and center of him.

Personally, I would prefer to be blown up by terrorist in a massive explosion than face the rest of my life with economic evisceration by the globalist free trade freaks.

Depressingly, this statement could have been written just as easily by some of the FReepers here.
