The Minutemen border-watch group is coming to New York to demand that the federal government tighten security at our borders and to promote an eye-opening new book co-authored by Minutemen founder Jim Gilchrist.
President George Bush once referred to Minutemen volunteers as "vigilantes," but the book promises to give the group "a chance to respond, and to change the nature of the illegal immigration debate in the process, according to a release from the group.
"Minutemen: The Battle to Secure America's Borders" is written by Gilchrist and "Unfit for Command" co-author Jerome Corsi. The book hits stores nationwide on July 25, and the following day at noon the authors will appear at New York City's ground zero, a site chosen as a symbolic reminder of the connection between border security and national security.
A number of the terrorist hijackers on 9/11 were in this country illegally, and Gilchrist a Marine Corps veteran and recipient of the Purple Heart notes: "We might have avoided that tragedy had the federal government been willing to enforce the immigration laws already on the books.
"But five years and thousands of lives later, Washington still refuses to do its job. That's why I organized the Minuteman Project, and that's also why I felt compelled to write this book."
The assertions in "Minutemen: The Battle to Secure America's Borders" include:
- The real number of illegal aliens in the U.S. is not 12 million, as the federal government claims, but closer to 30 million.
- The IRS known for hounding citizens who make mistakes on their returns has paid out $10 billion in refunds and credits to illegal aliens who used fraudulent Social Security numbers, and it has no intention of going after those who've made fraudulent claims.
- Over 3,000 illegal aliens suspected of murdering Americans have fled to Mexico, where they often live openly and without fear of arrest.
"Illegal immigration is out of control, and Americans are paying for it with their pocketbooks and - far too often - with their lives," Corsi declared.
"Our government is not being honest with us about the extent of the problem. This book will put a stop to that deception."
Oh for God's sake.
agreed...it's been 12 million for how many years now ?
I don't doubt it a bit.
Bingo. And by the time they release the real figure, Mexico's 'integration' with the US will be complete.
Someone, maybe TLC, is running a so called reality show where a border patrol person lives with illegals. Maybe it's changing places, whatever. We'll be shown how desperate their plight is and how mean we are not to hand the country over, lock, stock, and barrel.
30 million sounds closer to the truth then 12 million...the 12 million figure has been used for at least 4 years now and never changed.
They are everywhere here in Georgia. It is like somebody opened up the illegal faucet and they came pouring out.
No, but informed people mentioned 24 million months ago. To think the number stagnated at the official number, 11 million, a year or more ago, is preposterous. Mexico's minister came out and said they were 'integrating' with the US. It was in the MSM, but quickly buried. Since we're not heading south by the millions, logic says the migration/invasion is in the other direction. Integration means mixing, mingling. That's what they decided to do when NAFTA and CAFTA didn't accomplish what they planned. Come on, you don't think Bush's inattention to the border situation in a time of war is an accident.
30 million huh? Well isn't that special?
Round them up and ship them home to whatever craphole they came from.
Why is it so hard to believe the figure of 30 million??
there are at least 12 million in L.A. alone.
The day that they boycotted, there was no traffic at all.
"Why is it so hard to believe the figure of 30 million??"
Because that's one in ten people you see!
Americas population is 300 million.
That's Morgan Spurlock's '30 Days' series on FX. He's the liberal hack who made the crockumentary 'SuperSize Me'.
Because that is a full one third of Mexico's population. That is 10 million more than the population of Texas. 30 million is the population of California. 80% of illegal immigrants are clustered in 5 border states. It is absurd on it's face
They were on the Art Bell Show aka CtoC last night. That does not mean that they are in the UFO/Bigfoot category since the Art Bell Show has an exceedingly wide variety of topics.
In the minds of certain types of people, the number is easily over 100 million.
It is really getting into the realm of deliberate propaganda from these folks.
