Immigrants Have Moral Right to Enter U.S, Says Annan
AZCONSERVATIVE ^ | 15 June 2006 | John Semmens

UN Secretary General Kofi Annan implicitly weighed into a raging political debate in the United States over illegal immigration, insisting that "Migrants have a moral right to leave the misery, impoverishment and oppression that is all-too-common among our member states."

In an article published in The Wall Street Journal, Annan showcased what he saw as general benefits of worker migration, arguing that "Migrants want to survive--something that is hard to do in the corrupt kleptocracies that rule most third world nations. Migrants from poor countries are just trying to grab a piece of the wealth being hoarded by rich Americans."

"Yes, migration can have its downside," the UN secretary general wrote, "Americans burdened by immigrants directly may feel less inclined to give foreign aid to third world countries. Leaders of these countries will face less security once they go into exile if they can't amass the multiple millions necessary to support their accustomed lifestyles."

Good thing you included "satire" in the keywords, or that line would've had me screaming. LOL.

Yep, I did a double take, too ... unfortunately, though, in regards to Annan/UN, the sentiment expressed in that line is pretty accurate, IMO.

Oh, it's satire? My previous statement still stands.

Oh, without question. usually, tho', these types don't dare utter what they really believe. Not on purpose.

Besides, the line that made me realize something was up was this one:
Migrants want to survive--something that is hard to do in the corrupt kleptocracies that rule most third world nations.
Kofi would never speak about his friends that way. Or even, frankly, have such a lucid thought.

This a-shole should have been dispatched to a prison sell in Accra a long time ago.

BTW: I knew this was satire. Just wanted to state the obvious about Kofi.

Maybe if Coffee and the boys had cut them in on the "Oil for Food" scam, they could have stayed home. Or, he could have put them on the U.N payroll with all the rest of those Third World losers, and they still could have stayed home.

OR, maybe he could take them all to Europe, along with himself and the ENTIRE U.N! I hear they can get the League of Nations building, cheap.

Another globalist to whom the word "illegal" doesn't seem to exist.

Nobody objects to "immigrants". Everybody objects (or should) to illegal competition for wages, evasion of taxes, and spongeing off public services.

That Kofi Anan can make such a misleading statement tells us all we need to know about him.

Answer: A literary technique of writing or art which exposes the follies of its subject (for example, individuals, organizations, or states) to ridicule, often as an intended means of provoking or preventing change.

Can you provide the question?

But the American taxpayer should not pay for illegal immigrants.

Does Kofi Annan have to worry about other things like where is his next bribe coming from. Or better, whether the United Nations is becoming just as irrelevant like the League on Nations.

Kofi has been presiding (incompetently) over the most dysfunctional organization on the planet. He and Kojo were exposed in a Mercedes tax scam in which they fraudulently used UN tax exemption status.

The Oil-for-Food scandal was the biggest financial swindle of all time.

The UN pedophiliacs had fun in Africa at the institution's expense.

It's an organization that is unaccountable, non-transparent, and rife with fraud and corruption.

Its farcical Human Rights Commission is home to the worlds most tyrannical, despotic, and rogue regimes.

It's a third-world thug operation that is anti-Semitic and opposed to the United States - even though (a disgrace, I think) we provide 20% of its budget.

Claudia Rosett has written many excellent articles and a book on the UN - she's an acknowledged expert and I heartily recommend her work. And she KNOWS this rotten organization like few others.

It strikes me that with all Kofi and his fellow gangsters have on their plate they'd be too busy to interfere with our domestic politics.

But then again - what better proves THEY JUST DON'T GET IT!!
