I was listening to a NHSTA radio commercial today and I heard them basically credit Gorbachev with bring down the Berlin Wall, I took exception and fired off an e-mail, but only got a generic response. Freepers feel free to express your displeasure with the NHSTA. I have pasted the text of my e-mail below.

Dear NHSTA,

I was listening to the radio today and I heard the very entertaining NHTSA commercial featuring "Vince & Larry" the crash test dummies. My complaint is with the commercial's statement, "...that brought down more walls than Gorbechev." I don't know which walls you are referring to, perhaps Gorbachev did a lot of remodeling in the Kremlin, but if you are talking about the Berlin Wall and you are giving Gorbachev even one tenth of the Credit that Ronald Regan, the Polish Solidarity Movement, or even Pope John Paul deserve, then I believe that you are insulting those who spent years and even decades opposing Communist Opression. I hope you will take the opportunity to take out the word Gorbachev and insert the word "President Regan" in the otherwise very effective commerical.

Ronald Reagan called on Gorbachev to "TEAR DOWN THAT WALL" In 1988. It came down. It was also predicted on the show November 1968 on Dan Rowan and Dick Martin Episode of news of the future 20 years from this date...

Nickelodeon showed the episode in November 1988. What a hoot.
