YETI Hosts Irvington Ghost Tour Fundraiser - Proceeds to help underprivileged youths -
Indianapolis, IN The Youth Enhancement and Training Initiative (YETI), an Indiana not-for-profit that focuses on helping underprivileged children worldwide, will host its first ghost tour through historic Irvington. If scary stories and local history interest you, then Ghost Tour: Ghosts and Infamous Places of Irvington is for you. The nearly two-hour tour takes guests through the streets of Irvington, one of the most haunted areas in Indiana. The tour, narrated by one of America's leading tour guides, stops at approximately a dozen sites to hear their tales of infamy and haunting. Tour stops include the D.C. Stephenson mansion, Masonic Lodge #666 and the home of Dr. H.H. Holmes, America's first serial killer.
In addition to the tour, each guest will receive a complimentary copy of Irvington Haunts, a new book by tour guide Al Hunter and Irvington writer Russ Simnick. The book features 14 chapters full of Irvington ghost stories. Tickets are $20/person and include a copy of the accompanying book; $12 of the ticket price is tax deductible.

I know many of you may wonder why we (mostly a group of Republicans; but shhh, we don't tell that to the few not-so-liberal Dems in the group)care about building this orphanage. Well, let me tell you.
Some of our children are left parentless after vicious attacks by Maoists, others are dropped off by relatives who are too poor to provide food or shelter. These are some of the world's poorest people, and the children tend to suffer the most.
Occasionally I see a post about Nepal on FR and hope that maybe some Hoosiers might be interested in helping out.
