I just got banned at DU!
I've been lurking for about a year making occasional posts, nothing outrageous, just common sense. And I got lambasted for that!
But the Christian bashing got a little TOO bad just recently. The atheists and bigots over there are offending even the DUers who consider themselves Christians.
There was this post with a joke comparing the Pope to a Nazi. I thought turnabout was fair play. So I took a couple of lawyer jokes and used the word "atheist" instead.
This is the entire post that got me banned.
"Q) What do you have when an atheist is buried up to his neck in sand? A) Not enough sand!
Q) Whats the difference between a porcupine and a bus load of bigot atheists? A) On a porcupine the pricks are on the outside!"
Thats it. Thats ALL I said... Apparently the Christian bashers can dish it out, but the can't take it! Liberals have ZERO sense of humor.Oh, they're are real funny when they are discriminating against people of faith...but one post at their expense...CALL THE MODS! HOW DARE HE! Waaaaah!
And then the entire thread was pulled from the DU Lounge. Wah.
For those of you at DU lurking here I think I got between 50 and 70 posts.
There was one post where I disagreed with the praise for communist Cuba, I mentioned the librarians who Fidel arrested in 2004 for the horrible crime of advocating free speech, and I was called a liar! Furthermore one DUer called me out as a Freeper troll. I reported him, and he got banned! You guys were soooo close! Had anyone perused my posts, you would have known the truth!
I learned a few things about DUers whilst I was there.
1) Cuba is a paradise. Free health care for everyone!
2) NEVER, EVER criticize a communist country. Yoda in his wisdom lives there! This is real! China with all her human rights abuses can only be presented as angelic next to the vile USA.
3)There is a group of DUers who advocate the violent Communist takeover of the US.
4) Sedition and treason lie just under the surface there...I think too many visits by the Secret Service shut off the more ardent support for violence...but its THERE!
5) DUers post ALL the time! Day or night. They live there! Seriously, one guy DIED at his computer in his mom's basement! These guys have NO life. They are amoral, or rather "above morals." Laws do not constrain them. They are surprised when a terrorist at Gitmo has his letters censored. They are shocked when an anarchist gets arrested and his held for an entire day!
The hatred for Christians and Jews is astounding! Actually they live in a miserable world of hate, even their jokes are hateful.
None of them are ever happy.They are offended that President Bush continues in office. They cannot even say the word "President."
And delusional! Wow. You thought DU Funnies was revealing. Imagine entire forums of fantasy and hate speech.

Blood clot. He was sitting down in front of the computer too long, and that caused a blood clot to form which went straight to his heart and killed him. He was only 37 years old. It's a damn shame to die that young.

It's true. The DUers name was Kephra. He was only 37 years old. He was found by his mom, dead at his computer. (Though I'm not too sure of the location of the computer in the house. Basement? First floor? Dont really know)

Congratulations! To be banned by a group that vile means you must not share their poor character and judgement.
How do you know a guy died at his computer? Is that real?
That's really sad. I know he had other physical ailments; I wonder if he was in a wheelchair, and whether that contributed to the clot.
To compare a Freeper Troll opus on DU with a DU Troll post on FR is pointless. They are so, so lame!
My technique is that when responding to any of their posts, I would take Hitlers own words right out of Mein Kampf, and where he wrote "Jews" or "judaism", or any other anti-semetic nonsense, I would replace it with the words "conservative" or "conservatism".
One DUer praised me twice. The first time he wrote: "Well said". The second time he praised me, telling me that I wrote like Bill Clinton!!!!
I managed to get to a little over 100 posts before I was banned.
reversing DUmmies with freepers and saying the same thing would get you banned here and we'd have major zot parties.
Poor Ratzinger... I'd kick their liberal asses if I could in his name, but I just showered and I'd rather not have to again.
I got banned at DU, I'm sure, after I snapped at a group of people calling Bush Hitler. Comparisons to Hitler are apt to tick me off, as my family lived under his regime and those DUers have no idea what oppression really is.

I read some of his posts and they were anti-Christian,anti-Bush and pretty much anti-everything.
BTW, the title of the thread mentioned in the first paragraph was "Impeach the Chimp!!!!!!!" (plus or minus a few exclamation points:).

I always figured the ones making the most outlandish posts were FReepers and the ones drooling after them were DUmmies. Sounds like I could be right.
