Itβs the same train of thought.
There is no reason to connect a toothbrush to a website through the internet. Their purpose is to brush teeth. When they are no longer useful, they are thrown away.
I’d brush it off
Regarding your graphic:
Talk about a brush with death!
I’ve been using IOT items for a while. I don’t let them “phone home”, as in using a server in China to do its dirty work, and I’ve gotten around that by using a secure VPN to my home network that I can access remotely.
This was to remotely monitor temp and humidity in certain areas.
Now, having your fridge connected is just not my cup of tea and makes little sense to me, but a toothbrush being networked? I just cannot fathom any reason that it would be in any way a good idea to network a freaking toothbrush. For what purpose?
O my thing we have connected to the net are the TVs and cell phones, and that’s PLENTY.
Just Aim to brush your teeth on your own!
*snicker*
Pretty close.
The difference is with the meteor there’s no one to blame.
With a terrorist attack those responsible will be blaming everyone else!
I’m seeing common sense a-dyin’.
My refrigerator and my clothes dryer are capable of connecting to wifi. I can see how connecting the refrigerator could be useful, like if someone leaves a door ajar it will notify you so you can go home and close it.

They are subject to DDOS (dedicated denial of sex.)
“Emergency. Emergency. Your children have opened the refrigerator door after their designated bedtime.”
Lol.
bro.
It doesn’t make it happen...

Yes, they exist.
The Chinese are using them to create earthquakes.
Probably.
With the technology and batteries of today it’s quite likely. /s
