A driver who is accused of killing her passenger when she lost control and crashed her Porsche on a Washington freeway - while allegedly drunk - has left the country.
Ting Ye, 26, was charged with vehicular homicide and bail was set at $2million - but she quickly fled to her home country of China before she could be apprehended.
New traffic camera footage showed the horrific moment Ye allegedly drove the white sports car at 100mph and crashed the vehicle on September 30.
She mangled her Porsche 911 around 4am after it went flying through the air near 108th Ave NE and SR 520 in Bellevue - and police say there are suspicions she was driving under the influence of alcohol.
Her passenger, 27-year-old Yabao Liu, died in the crash. He and Ye had to be removed from the heavily-damaged vehicle. It's unclear what their relationship was.
Both Ye and Liu come from China and were in Washington for work, records show.
According to court documents, a first responder noted the 'strong odor of alcohol coming from the defendant's breath,' in the aftermath of the crash.
Bellevue police believe Ye was released from Harborview Medical Center with minor injuries before crossing the border into Canada and fleeing to China.
Her flight occurred just days before the King County prosecuting attorney's office filed a charge of vehicular homicide, with a warrant for her arrest.
Because she is no longer in the country, Ye's case has since been escalated and handed over to the U.S. Department of Justice.
There is no extradition order between the US and China, meaning Beijing is not obligated to force Ye to return to America for court proceedings.

She was going way over 100mph, you can tell cause the car did not even slow down as it was sliding sideways into the barrier
China will not extradite because she’s probably a spy.
Sum Ting Wong?
Welcome to America - we can’t keep poor illegal migrants out, and can’t catch rich law-breaking criminal immigrants to keep them in.
Ryan Dunn of Jackass “fame” crashed near me when he left Barnaby’s in West Chester PA drunk.
The wreck was so bad, they don’t even know who was driving…
Same Porsche model that Paul Walker died in.

“China Mitch” McConnell’s father-in-law has strong connections with the Chinese Communist Party. Perhaps he could call in a favor.
Wow, I can’t believe she survived that crash....
Ho Lee Fuk.
passenger knew she was drunk, he could’ve taken a cab, yet he got in the car anyway
that’s idiotic
he bears responsibility for his own end too
Driving While Oriental is bad enough....
Something’s off here. How does one get $2M bail assessed (i.e., arraigned and before a judge), yet evades being apprehended and off to Beijing?
I have driven on the Autobahn and seen such cars go past me (driving a respectable 100 mph in my Volkswagen) at speeds that make 100 seem to be standing still. But the Autobahn is so well-engineered that those speeds are sustainable for most of those doing them. But when there IS a wreck, the unfortunate car looks like crumpled tin-foil perched on the guardrail and often the driver is interred primarily via a water hose.

Yet another wonderful foreign national import!
when you get bail, you are released from custody and expected to return later for a trial. If you don’t return (e.g. if you have fled to China) you forfeit the bail, in this case 2 million bucks.
But I don’t think the article said that $2M bail was posted. That’s my question here. If there was bail truly set, she was arraigned and in custody at some point, IMO.
Give a whole new meaning to driving while Asian
Physics always wins.
She might ‘disappear’ if her boyfriend was well connected, also.
