AI imagines what Americans in all 50 states look like using stereotypical European views

Most Europeans have a unique idea about what Americans look like in each US state, and artificial intelligence has brought these views to life in lifelike images.
Mdjourney, a system that creates images based on users' text prompts, created an image for each of the 50 states based on how those across the Atlantic perceive them.
According to AI, Europeans think Alabamians typically have missing teeth, all Utahans are Mormons and Virginians are stuck in the Victorian era.
While some images are far-fetched, they offer insight into potential biases and stereotypes in AI technology.

That AI is a pretty decent artist, I know a guy who looks exactly like the image generated for my state.

Well, if Europeans think that Massachusetts folks are all “crazed Patriots football fans”, they are quite wrong. Massachusetts folks are crazed Red Sox fans. The Patriots are no better than third on the list, after Red Sox and Celtics. Until Brady, they were fighting to be ahead of the Bruins and Boston College. Older Massachusetts types still love Flutie more than Brady.
