OK, I'm an old Gen X-er.
I recall the Trifecta of 1980s men's colognes: Drakkar Noir, Polo for Men, and Paco Rabanne. Am I missing anything?
My favorite was Drakkar. I practically bathed in the stuff, thinking it would mask my cigarette and weed smoke from my parents (it didn't).
Anyhow, a Twitter person I follow seemed genuinely shocked to pass someone wearing Drakkar. This begs the question. Do scents go out of style?
I hope not, I still have bottles of them…
Eventually what typically happens is a cologne or perfume gets really popular, and then kids growing up identify it as being something their parents wears. Drakkar Noir is very much one of those that a lot of Millennials would say is for their dad.
The best colognes and perfumes in the world come from Oman and Saudi Arabia.
I learned this from my Navy days.

I personally wear Trump Eau de Cologne. It’s a brash, bold fragrance that annoys liberal men and causes liberal women to yearn for alpha males.
The fragrance actually got me a one-night stand with the lovely Jennifer Aniston. But that’s another story for another day.
Old Spice was hurting *really* bad for a really long time. Then they did that famous series of commercials with Isaiah Mustafa and started leaning in on the stereotype that it was something your grandpa wore. I’m pretty sure at some point they started putting, “If your grandfather hadn’t worn it, you wouldn’t exist” on the label.
But does it now smell bad?
I'd like to think certain scents always smell good. Bacon smells good. Maple syrup smells good. Gasoline smells good. Drakkar smells good.
The smell of Poison will always remind me of gorgeous high school girls of the 80s.
When a man walks by me with cologne on, I really like it. I mean, REALLY like it. I am scent driven I suppose. Just Something about cologne on a man. A huge weakness of mine.

I still prefer Stetson cologne. Or polo by Ralph Lauren. The classics never go out of style.
When I was a teen I used to wear Brut because Joe Namath did commercials for it.
Seriously though, I'm curious what cologne Trump wears. I'll bet it's not Trump Cologne. It's probably some $1000/.5 oz sh*t I've never heard off.
