US President Trump signed an executive order Wednesday declaring a national emergency, barring the use of telecommunications equipment made by companies deemed a threat to national security
The Executive Order did not name China or Chinese companies specifically. However, separately, and soon after the order was signed, the US Commerce Department did just that. The Commerce Department added Huawei and 70 affiliates to its Entity List after it concluded that the Chinese company was engaged in activities contrary to US national security or foreign policy interests.

The supply chain remains the problem. Many manufacturers of the components which go inside US equipment obtain parts from China either in whole or to mix in with their own parts to save money. Example: Some of those NIC processors in your computers and networks are still made by Huawei’s supplier with its back door access and reporting. But hey, the price was the best and that’s how government contracts work.
The whole Huawei system is a weaponized spytool. Its China. It may be labeled a company but its still China.
