This is so wrong. I am not sure if this was really meant to be true or not. In Palo Alto, about two thirds of the developers are Asians. The other third are Caucasians. There are virtually no black developers. These people are all well paid. And no white cab driver would be surprised to see Asians working as a developer. And no guy with a Computer Science degree is driving for Uber unless he has a mental illness. And anyone who thinks Obama is a great statesman ingests a lot of propaganda without much discretion.

The funny thing is, a lot of Americans already knew how to code. Then they were laid off and their severance packages hinged on training their H1B replacements from places like...India.

Firstly, no the average American certainly wouldn’t be watching soccer.
Secondly, nationalism and fascism are two different things.

Finally, she’s reading the situation wrong IMO. The problem as many Americans see it is not the very high end Indians and making lots of money in top jobs. The problem is that corporations have abused the H1B and other visa programs to bring in middle management types from India and elsewhere and pay them LESS than what an American would make to do that same job.
So not only is an American out that job but they’re also denied the chance to climb the corporate ladder or their career progress is delayed several years. Now add to that the staggering cost of American education and you get people with large debts who can’t get the kinds of jobs their expensive degrees were supposed to get them. This ruins their credit when they inevitably default or at the very least makes it impossible for them to ever get on the property ladder.
No wonder people are pissed.

After 31 years working, most of it in IT (SAP), I can honestly say that Indians will never get it.
They have no clue how hated the H1-B visa program is and how corrupt it is.
I’ve worked with so many, and I have had to explain to them just like I explain to American citizens WHY Trump won the election.
At my place of where I used to work, I told a few that I believed Trump would probably win, but they did not believe me as they could not understand how. The Indians are as blind as Rachel Maddow on MSNBC and they foolishly believe the media which is leftist outside the USA too.
Once I went over the battleground states, the ground situation there, the ghost towns from the deindustrialization of the USA, our electoral system, the last 35-40 years of stagnant real income and rising real costs for Americans outside the left coasts, a few started to understand better how it could happen.
But frankly, 1st generation immigrants, especially from Asia, simply cannot understand Americanism and what it means to be an American. Even their kids will never understand it if they grow up in leftist areas on the coasts.
And...they certainly do not understand our Constitution and Bill of Rights, in particular the 2nd Amendment.
Our country is gradually becoming culturally very mediocre like the rest of the world as we ‘slouch towards Gomorrah’.
The coming Red/Blue split, whether peaceful or bloody, can’t come soon enough.
