The hearing is over. Christine Blasey Ford has shared her truth and gone. The Republican Senators have ignored her testimony and Brett Kavanaugh is closer to claiming a lifelong seat on America’s supreme court.
I am sixteen-and-a-half thousand kilometres away from the rooms in which these events have transpired, yet late at night and in moments of quietude, I am in all of them – rendered something supernatural and out of space and time by a rage that’s as hot and thick as lava. And I’m not alone.
Watch the ongoing Kavanaugh news roll over Twitter, you’ll see just how much outrage from women worldwide is rolling, too. Since #metoo and #whyididntreport, the private horror of sexual violence has been released so publicly and by so many that the weight of its collective force has finally – finally – inverted the power of shame. Only the isolated survivor can still be persuaded to blame themselves – and, thanks to the internet, not too many of us feel so isolated anymore. Righteously, anger has turned outwards.
The assaulted. The trapped. The humiliated. The intimidated. The disbelieved. We’ve formed a massive, roaring sisterhood of scar tissue, and we are all in that room with Blasey Ford, rising like mutant anime giant, made of blood and bits of flesh and fury. All of us are the enraged sexual assault survivors confronting the vacillating, cowardly Jeff Flake in an elevator door. All of us are the marches in the streets, the placards, the floods of phone calls. We are, each one, the testimonies that are detailed, excruciating and unashamed.
And yet the Republicans have not demurred, Kavanaugh yet advances towards the supreme court. The patriarchal moment has asserted itself with its most powerful gesture of corrective instruction....

That’s one of the largest newspapers in the world and the author is Australian.
Her emotional and Spiritual essence is showing through her physical body.
“shared her truth”. That’s part of the problem. It’s her truth (maybe), but it clearly isn’t tied to reality in the way implied. It’s not THE truth.
Apparently this is supposed to work the way it does with Trans: everyone else must comply.

Nobody ignored her testimony. Why are lies such as these often never challenged?
Everyone listened to her testimony. Some found it compelling, but all listened and considered it.
If this writer is trying to say, that you should vote against Kavanaugh, to prove that you take sex crimes seriously, she is full of it.
The liberals want to turn this vote into a referendum on whether you believe sexual assault victims and allegations of sexual assault.
The liberals conveniently forget, or don’t know, that this is a Supreme Court vote to confirm someone to the Supreme Court, NOT A REFERENDUM on sexual assault.
To restate, sorry to repeat, you can take sex assault very seriously, as I do, and still support Judge Kavanaugh. One does not exclude the other.

What now for women?
I am a woman and what now for me is that I have concluded Dr. Fraud was just that, a total fraud.
At first I had some sympathy for her as someone who evidently had experienced some trauma in her life (but not by Judge K).
Now, however, as a woman, I am totally appalled at her lies and believe she has singlehandedly made legitimate claims of sexual harassment impossible to believe. She and her willing allies among the Demonrats and the media have made the good and decent behavior of men towards women suspect. She, like Anita Hill before her, will go down in history as a failed flamethrower whose accusations will not have stopped a great man from taking a well deserved seat on the Supreme Court.
And by all means if someone gropes you or attacks you tell someone tell your mom, your dad, anyone call the police as soon as it happens. Do not wait 36 years.
I do not believe this happened to her by the way.

I can tell by her skin that she's spent waaaaay too much time in the sun. Many, many years in the sun. Apparently one of her 'hobbies' is surfing, if I remember correctly.
Which she's done all over the world. In places that she admitted to FLYING to, like the South Pacific, Caribbean, etc. But - but - she was oh so afraid to fly to the Kavanaugh hearing...
well, I’m not ‘in that room with Ford’. Because I wasn’t upstairs in the private quarters at some stranger’s house probably stealing meds or mom’s jewelry and got tackled on the way out the door, which is probably what happened to little miss juvenile delinquent. And probably had absolutely zero to do with sex or sexual assault or rape or anything but her being a delinquent. And those supporting her need to wake up and realize just how much damage she has done to real rape victims everywhere. Women like her got women in burkas in the first place.
