Jim Robinson and the core of his followers on Free Republic are becoming the Conservative version of the Communist Party of the USA (CPUSA). Polar opposites on political philosophy to be sure, but birds of a feather when it comes pig headed understanding of the path to political power.

The CPUSA is completely irrelevant when it comes to political power, in part because they routinely purged any and all who were not ideologically pure in every way. They drove away many who agreed with their general views of politics and were willing to help them gain political power. They were a complete failure.

But, the Barack Obamas, David Alexrods, and Valarie Jarretts of their world took another course. They stayed true to their core political beliefs, but they worked within our political system to seize control of one of the two political parties in this country that count. They succeeded beyond their wildest dreams. They run the country and daily act in defiance of the US Congress and the people. They are in power and they are abusing it as only good communists are wont to do. So, who’s the better communist: the losers of the CPUSA or Obama and his ilk?

Don’t be a loser.

That’s really the problem you don’t see. This battle is bigger than Barack Obama, but the scumbags in the GOPe want you to believe it is. The battle is with the IDEOLOGY that empowers Obama and so many others, including within the GOPe itself. Mittens is merely the Republican version of the same progressive ideology. IOW, we lost this battle when Mittens secured his path to the nomination.

What will happen with Mittens is 4 years of degenerate RINO control, followed up with another possible 4 years of degenerate RINO control, to be followed up with degenerate DemonRat control. Because, let’s face it, Romney is a big government statist who is just going to manage the decline. Except now the Great Economic Collapse that is coming is going to fall on OUR doorstep instead of the socialists. I won’t vote for Obama, but I sure as hell hope Mittens loses and we have strong conservatives to oppose him in Congress. The short term pain is better than long term mediocrity and eventual death.

Usually people do not waste their time, let alone their supposed self perceived intellect on irrelevancy, but yet you took the time to prove otherwise.

All of “U.S. conservatism” is a loser, no matter what one decides to do with the ‘12 POTUS race, and that’s the ongoing problem!

centurion316:

Translating your post into normal English with a special emphasis on its actual meaning: You have sold out any conservative principles you may ever have had and you are very angry that "Jim Robinson and his core of followers on Free Republic" refuse to join you and other Romney pom pom girls in that sellout, thereby making you look bad. With centurions like you, who needs enemies???

Bearing in mind that the Demonrat Party is beyond hope as to Marxism, homosexual everything, baby-killing, peace-creepism, non-defense spending, takeover of the medical system, gun grabbery, taxation, and a cornucopia of other Demonrat issues, that leaves only the GOP as potential resistance.

What the left needs to cement a final victory over America is an ideological takeover of the GOP to make the GOP as close as possible to what the Demonrats have done to their party since 1972 or thereabouts.

\The GOP is already afflicted in Congress with such sorry spineless and utterly ideologically corrupted (gimme mo' money!) excuses for leadership as Mitch McConnell, John Cornyn, John Weepy Boehner, Eric Cantor and Kevin McCarthy. All they care about is kissing GOP Elitist patoot and collecting as much cash as possible from the usual corrupt suspects. It certainly won't get any better under a Romney presidency.

Then what the Demonrats need (and have in Romney) is for the GOP to nominate a leftist piece of trash who is committed to homosexual everything, baby-killing, gun grabbing, unilateral disarmament, wild spending, special interest tax policies taking special care of Mittler's fellow zillionaires, environmental whackoism, global "climate change" and cap and trade, repealing and REVISING Obozocare, etc., etc., etc., ad infinitum ad nauseam.

When the GOP-E and their windtunnel sycophants have completed the conquest of the GOP now and forever more via Mittler's candidacy, we shall have become France or England or most other European elitocrat regimes.

Jim Rob performs the service of providing a website to which the remnant of conservatism may repair, nurse the wounds, restore our strength and fight another day (when fighting will have some cognizable purpose as it does not this year at the POTUS level).

In the event that Mittler should happen to be elected, the actual conservatives here will remind you ceaselessly that you sold out and that Mittler's evils are attributable to you and his other supporters. Are we pig-headed (your term)? You betcha and we are the reason why there will be a conservative movement in the future. The rich tapestry of conservative principle is much more than some "path to power."

Tom Hoefling for POTUS in 2012. He gives actual conservatives an honorable and principled alternative to the trash nominated for POTUS by Demonrats and GOP alike.

We can't always sell our political soul for "a place at the table" -- like many pro-life groups & pro-family leaders...they ALWAYS think they need that place at the table of potential influence ... or, in their mind, they no longer exist.

Where would that mindset ever end, boundary-wise?

Would you vie for a place @ Hitler's table when he first came into power?
