A married substitute teacher was arrested in Nebraska after she was caught undressed in the backseat of a car with a teenage boy, according to authorities.
Douglas County Sheriff's deputies identified Erin Ward, 45, on Saturday after they were notified about a suspicious car parked on a dead-end road around 3am near 10200th block and North 189th Street.
As they approached a gray 2015 Honda Pilot, police said that they spotted Ward and a 17-year-old boy in the backseat as she was putting her clothes back on.
The boy then hopped into the driver's seat and fled the scene before he crashed the vehicle about two blocks away, and ran away. Police found him more than an hour later dressed in boxers, socks and a T-shirt.

Your complete dismissal of female desire iat that age is telling. Females, on average, go through puberty before males do.
So go for it male teachers. They’re ready at 13, or so.
Some states have an enhanced sentence for those in a position of authority over the child. Don’t know if this applies here though.

LACK of sex was the real problem. And a very serious one.
A great deal of the problem with civilization is the result of a mismatch between our evolved (or created, if you like) animal nature and the needs of modern societies. And by “modern” I mean since the development of agriculture and settled communities. We have not caught up since evolution doesn’t work that fast, and the feedback loop doesn’t work anyway.
We are Neolithic creatures trying to exist in high schools and cubicle farms.
As all of us will be, if we live long enough. That’s just the way it is.
I remember that age and lacked no physical affection at that age.

Ok... So we have an epilogue...what was the Prologue? We know that they were on a bit of an Odyssey....I assume that he was out to explore the Ridgeline but did have a Passport to go there?
The Neolithic girls probably did. But at that time there wasn’t this overlay of complex culture over everything, which makes such urges dangerous, in almost every way. Females of our species are designed for long-term pair-bonding and the circumstances of high schools just isn’t conducive to this.
And there is evidence that a sequence of failed attempts at pair-bonding may create permanent psychological damage for girls/women.
The available (young) males have not been able to prove themselves, or they carry only pseudo-status (teachers). Along with every other problem. None are realistic partners for long term pair bonding.
Nature simply hasn’t caught up with modernity.
Well, one should expect the teachers to refrain from this. But I doubt very much that this harms the boys.
The point (or it should be the point) of such rules is to maintain hierarchy, and thus good order and discipline. Its an institutional need, not a personal one.
Did you miss the last sentence of my post? Thanks for being honest. Locally, in separate cases, two girls, both seventeen, were caught with an adult male. Both girls, to the investigators, admitted seeking out the men. It did not matter. The men went to jail. In one case, rightly so. The judge did not accept the statements from one girl because she was 17 and supposedly did not know any better. In the other case, because of the law protecting the “ victim,” the young woman’s promiscuous behavior with other adult men was inadmissible until it went to a civil hearing, and it all came out. Young girls today are highly sexualized, and as a former coach, I can tell you that anything you hear in a men’s locker room is comparable to how they talk in a group. I find that kind of sad, though. You are a child for such a short time in your life. To lose that innocence so early in life is sad.

Yes. We are still the creatures that emerged from the Neolithic. That’s the last period in which humanity was affected and molded by evolutionary mechanisms.
And about that time humanity invented technology. Which has changed ever more rapidly, changing the human environment, physical and social, with it.
Everything since has been, in evolutionary terms, a constant state of biological whiplash. We have not had time to adjust to changing conditions throughout selection pressure.
A great mass of modern problems comes from this.
No, they don’t. Their rational brains are not fully in charge. But around 10,000 BC that wasn’t a huge problem, or no problem at all. Now it is.
A “moral compass” is one of the human coping mechanisms for these problems. Not guaranteed to work.
Well yeah. We are not living 12,000 years ago when our life expectancy was like 28. I agree sexual urges exist. It maintains the species.
But to use evolutionary biology to justify, or excuse teachers having sex with their students is morally reprehensible. Especially since it seems the consensus here is it’s ok for a female teacher, but not a male one.
Biologically speaking, there s not one bit of difference.
There was just posted recently another female teacher, 37, sleeping with young male student. 16 in Point Pleasant. Seems so many of these stories.
